President Trump threatened more tariffs on Chinese imports if President Xi Jinping is not at this month’s G-20 meeting.
The president previously threatened to put levies on another $300 billion in Chinese goods if an agreement is not reached soon.
President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that additional tariffs on Chinese goods will be levied if Chinese President Xi Jinping does not attend this month’s G-20 meeting. When asked during a telephone interview if that means the new tariffs would go into effect immediately, Trump told CNBC’s Becky Quick, “Yes, it would.”
The president previously threatened to put levies on another $300 billion in Chinese goods if a trade agreement is not reached soon. The Trump administration increased tariffs last month on $200 billion worth of goods the U.S. imports from China.

There is no other politician who as President would be able, and have the desire and fortitude to do so, than Donald J. Trump. This guy is a godsend. My son and wife are slowly, if reluctantly, beginning to realize this. They both “held their noses” to vote for him because they couldn’t stand the thought of Hillary as President. But they are both having to admit that Trump is on the cusp of accomplishing things for us that no one else could possibly do, despite his brash style.
A 20% levy on $550bil in goods is over $100bil.
That will drive innumerable lost sales, probably cutting revenue to China by 50% or more.

It used to be that lunatic liberals were against free trade. Many were angry at Clinton for adopting NAFTA. Now Trump is trying to correct decades of wrongs and suddenly the liberals became lovers of low tariffs and free trade overnight.
Their hypocrisy is like magic.
Images like these help me see all the hostility and viciousness toward the President as a good thing. Their bitter hatred of Donald Trump is actually a very, very good omen.
