I received wonderful news Monday. Talkers magazine -- the Bible of America's radio industry -- named me to their Heavy Hundred list of the top 100 talk radio hosts in the United States. I made my debut at No. 62. And of course, No. 1 in Las Vegas.
Think of the numbers involved. I Googled "radio stations." There are about 5,000 AM stations alone (which generally means "news and talk"). Assume the typical station has at least three hosts in its lineup. That's 15,000 radio hosts in America. I just made the top 100 out of 15,000 hosts in a nation of 330 million people, in a career 3 1/2 years old. What an honor.
And the company I'm keeping is awe-inspiring. The top five are Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Dave Ramsey, Mark Levin and Howard Stern. Those five combined reach tens of millions of Americans. But those guys all had a big head start. Four years ago, I'd never hosted a talk radio show in my life. Stern started his radio career in 1975. Rush started in 1972. I started mine in 2016.
Why do I tell you this story? There are valuable lessons in it. My story is the reason I believe President Donald Trump will win in an electoral landslide in 2020.
First, the media are lying when they say Trump is unpopular. Much like this column, my show is a nightly celebration of all things Trump. I am a Paul Revere for him: I loudly and proudly tell my listeners about all the great things Trump has accomplished for America, 90% of which you won't hear from the biased mainstream media. Americans are hungry to hear the truth.
Secondly, like Trump, I spend all three hours of my show celebrating America. Where else can an SOB (son of a butcher) morph from a Vegas oddsmaker to one of the top political talk radio hosts in the country? As Don King says, "only in America." That's why Trump is a winner. He is a relentless champion of America, American workers and the American dream. He won't let the rest of the world push us around. He loves this country. People see that.
Third, my success didn't happen by coincidence. America's streets are paved with gold only if you earn it. In the past 3 1/2 years of my journey, I've worked tirelessly and relentlessly 16 hours a day, seven days a week. That strategy works in any field. Trump is the hardest-working president in history. The man fights for America first 24 hours a day. He is a human Energizer Bunny. While Trump celebrates America, the left calls him terrible names and screams for his impeachment. Cher recently fantasized about Trump being raped in a prison cell. Do you believe this is what Americans want to hear?
Meanwhile, Trump stood on the stage at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony last week and shook the hands of all 900-plus graduates. What president ever did that? Trump loves America. That's what Americans love about him. Democrats don't understand any of this. It goes right over their heads. That's why Trump will win in an electoral landslide in 2020.
Wanna bet?
I sure hope he’s right!
Youre such a pleasant person, and your contributions are gratefully anticipated by all.

I always search. Besides the excerpt is totally unnecessary. So sue me you busy-body lunatic
Just tired if all the rude not-so-humble posts. You remind many people of their ex! ..... May she rest in peace.
I don’t think that Trump has anything to fear about the 2020 nomination. He needs to win Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin again, and he won’t be as lucky in his opponent as he was in 2016.
Yeah, driving people away by constantly harassing them really helps the FReepathons. Miserable Old Bastards (MOB) spewing their stalking hate really doesnt enhance FR.
All true except for shaking hands of all 900 graduates at the Air Force academy. They all do. I worked at the naval academy and they all shake every graduates hand down to the anchor. Everything else is top notch in the story.
Good news is he has a phenomenal campaign manager for 2020. They are spending money in Nevada, New Mexico and New Hampshire as well as the 3 states needed. A 50-state effort with the money trump has in his campaign fund is smart.
Stern is still on the radio?
I thought he went satellite..
Wayne Allen Root is always on Bill Cunningham’s Sunday night radio show...I have to see if I can tune his show online...
I would guess even satellite radio gets ratings. Also there may be a terrestrial radio rebroadcast.
Not all 5000 AM stations are news and talk. So 15,000 hosts may be an overestimate. On the other hand, some FM stations are news/talk - I would guess satellite too but there aren’t that many of them.
News/talk does attract conservative listeners so it should not be regarded as a cross-section of the voters.
Nothing against Wayne Allen Root, but many of those 5,000 stations he mentions draw from the same smallish pool of available national and regional shows. There are NOT 15,000 different talk radio hosts in the US on AM radio.
People who are consistently successful at completing tasks generally place a high value on the criterion of personal responsibility rather than just what is fun to do.
His opponent won the popular vote. I don't see anyone among the two dozen contenders for the Dem nom, who are likely to do as well as Clinton.
Sanders is too old. Biden is the Dem's Jeb. I think it'll be either Buttigieg or Harris (or both in some order) and identity politics isn't going to stem the Trump tide.
But on the other hand, in 2020 they're not going to take the Rust Belt for granted.
Well said and about time!
