Maybe John Gehring was out sick the day the “near occasion of sin” was explained and why it should be avoided. Dancing around and cheering for the commission of sin is promoting “the near occasion of sin.” He should know better but of course he just pontificates as most “Catholic” writers do.
Well said. For the most part, the ones who just wanted to be left alone, already were. The activists (which it is now practically demanded that all sodomites and their sympathizers be) never just wanted to be left alone, they want to dismantle societal institutions which don’t celebrate their perversion, more than mere “normalizing” it, they want their perversion to be pre-eminent.
That would be a noble effort as those who march are in serious need of saving.
HIjacking the rainbow and rebranding it as the symbol for all things “gay” was a tell for where the deceptions are coming from.
Free will is what it is, but “Pride” isn’t something to celebrate or march for and nowhere is this more true than at these parades.
We are told instead that “Pride goeth before desctruction”, as many of the marchers defiantly display.
But I wonder what is truly being shown to us, by each marcher, if only we had eyes that could truly see and ears that could truly hear the actual war around us and for us that is consuming so many of us.
Perhaps love is missing and that’s why our eyes and ears aren’t operating correctly, and that might also be why so many march in parades, too?

The contempt that sort can hold for “breeders” is telling. But that doen’t necessarily even stop there and can run the spectrum all the way up to people like that one steward, who may as well be patient zero for AIDS, who opined that if he was going to die why should any of those other guys live.
Romans 1:18-32 is not really about homosexuality but about refusing to retain knowledge of the Lord, particularly, or so I’m convinced, that He is Holy, Holy, Holy ... though also other important things like turning away from the Gospel. Homosexuality and championing homosexuality in that passage is like a proverbial canary in a coal mine, for real miners, when the canary died, knew it was time to leave rather than press on deeper to where the air is even worse.
Simply, given how clearly homosexuality is condemned by the time folks can get to compromising on it spiritually they’ve probably already departed from a lot of the knowledge of the Lord that they may have had. I think that’s why Scripture says “wherefore” / “therefore” there, God kills that proverbial canary as a warning to them and others around them that they should heed BUT they have already made up their minds.
Just yesterday I was reading Jeremiah when the people came to him (they were wanting to flee to Egypt) asking for the word from the Lord and When he returns he tells them is this: “Be sure of this: I warn you today that you made a fatal mistake when you sent me to the Lord your God and said, ‘Pray to the Lord our God for us; tell us everything he says and we will do it.’ I have told you today, but you still have not obeyed the Lord your God in all he sent me to tell you.”
Now it is often true that these champions of homosexuality haven’t asked us to go to the Lord; but, if they’re turning away they already knew these things and yet they are doing exactly the same as those ancient Israelites did when they decided that Jeremiah was lying.
And that conceit, that they are correct and not the Lord, is why some of them may turn out to be doomed without hope (which is one way people have read the idea of a reprobate mind, I’m not saying that’s the right way though) where someone who never knew much of anything about the Lord could learn of these things and still repent (or much more easily repent not having a heart used to turning away).
Most everyone doesn’t look good in those!
