CNN Poll: Rising share expect Trump to win in 2020
Daily Caller ^ | 06/05/2019 | Jennifer Agiesta

Washington (CNN)A majority of Americans say they think Donald Trump is going to win a second term, according to a CNN Poll conducted by SSRS, even as the President's reviews on issues other than the economy remain largely negative.
The new poll finds 54% say their best guess is that Trump will win the 2020 election, 41% feel he will lose. Americans are slightly more apt to say Trump will win now than they were to say Barack Obama would win a second term in May 2011, in a survey conducted just after the death of Osama bin Laden (50% thought Obama would win in that poll). The new numbers on Trump are a reversal from December, when a narrow majority of 51% said they thought Trump would lose his bid for re-election.
The shift over that time comes mostly among those who disapprove of Trump's handling of the presidency. In December, 81% in that group said they thought the President would lose, and now, that's fallen to 67%. At the same time, the share who approve of the President and think he will win has held mostly steady (88% now vs. 85% in December).

One video at the link had a professor Lichtman saying Trump was going to win unless Dems impeached him. (Or maybe Dems would lose the House too -- my comment.)

He will win whether or not they impeach him. It’s an empty threat.

The more you know about these Democratic candidates, the harder it is to imagine a scenario in which one of them manages to defeat him.

And all of these Democrats are really going far left.

All of them are taking extremely liberal positions on transgender bathrooms, no restrictions on abortion of any kind, radical views on what we have to do about global warming, socialized medicine, etc.

Pick any issue, and they’re staking out radical far-left views.

Could this be a re-run of 1972? In that year the far left took over the Democratic party and nominated George McGovern.

I don’t expect to see a 49-state landslide if the Democrats nominate one of these leftists, but it would increase the odds of Trump winning a comfortable victory.

Do not discount the great and grave danger of widespread fraud at the polls in the 2020 elections. Ballot harvesting, jungle primaries, and attempts to block even placing Trump’s name on the Presidential ballot in perhaps several states are all more recent schemes in addition to the old familiar criminal activity of multiple votes by the same registered voter in several venues, the “resurrection” of deceased voters just for Election day, registry of persons to vote who are ineligible by law, the mendacity of “no photo ID” being a barrier to vote, the loss of ballot results from whole precincts, only to be “discovered” later in the back room at the storage facility, and outright miscounting of votes.

It is not who votes that counts, only who counts the votes.

If the Republicans continue their low level of enthusiasm for President Trump, I think there’s a chance he’ll loose.

The Republicans need to be busting ass to negate the methods the dims will use to defeat President Trump, especially ballot harvesting.

Word on this for the repubs... [crickets]

They would let them steal the Presidency from us in a heartbeat. They don’t care what we want. Not one bit!

It appears that the only semi-sane one in the group (Gov. Bullock of Montana) isn’t even going to be allowed in the debates.

Acosta even praised Trump’s D-Day speech (but in a backhanded manner: “No matter what I think of the current President of the US, he said the right thing at Normandy.”) Maybe he was afraid of looking petty.

Lichtman has his own test, which has held up for a number of elections. It would show Trump winning, if present trends continue.

Lichtman wants Trump to lose and claims that the Dems’ only chance is impeachment. Japan’s only chance in 1941 was Pearl Harbor. But the US carriers were out at sea, and even the battleships came back.

If the Republicans continue their low level of enthusiasm for President Trump, I think there’s a chance he’ll lose.

Where are you getting that from? Trump consistently has perhaps the highest ratings (over 90%) among Republicans of any recent Republican president.

Trump is also making gains among Blacks and Hispanics. Yes, you read that right. If Trump gets 20% of the black vote, and he appears on target to do that, it is lights out for the Democrats in 2020.

I suspect you are getting your cues from mainstream media, who are rabidly anti-Trump and do all they can to sow discontent among Trump's followers 24/7.

Do yourself a favor and tune all that garbage out. Get it out of your life. Mainstream media, especially cable news, is poisonous for your health and well-being. They are so negative and depressing. Thanks to the Internet, it is very easy to stay informed without having to rely on mainstream media garbage.

“If the Republicans CONTINUE their low level of enthusiasm”

no, the key word is CONTINUE, which implies that the Republicans already have a low level of enthusiasm to start with, which is patently false ...
