President Trump has successfully appointed six judges to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to Trump taking office, the Ninth Circuit had 19 Democratic appointees, 6 Republican appointees, and four vacancies, and is the most overturned court of appeals in the country. In May, the U.S. Senate confirmed two Trump nominees, Kenneth Lee and Daniel Collins, the fifth and six appointed judges.
Kenneth Lee The U.S. Senate confirmed Collins nomination by a 53-46 vote on May 21, 2019. He received commission on May 22, 2019. Californias home-state Senators Dianne Feinstein (D) and Kamala Harris (D) voted against Collins nomination.
Daniel Collins Senators confirmed Kenneth Lees nomination on a party-line 52-45 vote, giving President Trump his 40th circuit judge since taking office.
The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the third nominee, Daniel Aaron Bress, May 22. If he is confirmed by the committee, President Trump will have appointed seven judges to the Ninth Circuit.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein wrote an op ed about her objection: Daniel Bress, was born in California but practices law in Washington, D.C., and lives in Virginia. In fact, since graduating from high school, Mr. Bress has only lived in California for one year and has been on the east coast for college, law school and the rest of his legal career.
Daniel Bress Currently the court is comprised of 16 judges appointed by Democratic presidents and 11 judges appointed by Republican presidents, the Epoch Times reported. If Trump successfully fills the two vacant seats, it would place the court at 16 Democratic appointed judges and 13 Republican appointed judges. This would be unprecedented for the California-based circuit court, which has included judges such as the late Stephen Reinhardt, often called the liberal lion of the Ninth Circuit.

All well &good but I want RBG to croak soon which would set off the dems like nothing you’ve ever seen.
Especially if it were to happen early next year.
Do it Mitch.
“While liberals in in knots over the Supreme Court, Trump is quietly stacking all the rest of them.”
Trump is preparing the battlefield, giving conservatives the same ability as the rats to get injunctions on policies the other party tries to implement.
Trump has an American of Korean birth (immigrated as a child) as U.S Attorney in Atlanta. He just indicted a former Dem county commissioner of a major metro area county for bribery and extortion.
I agree. It's good that this is happening but the reality is the courts are a lost cause. Trying to put judges that are not leftist hacks and will do what they are supposed to do is really an exercise in futility. What we need is fundamental change to the judicial system itself. Major change. Courts must again be fully constrained by the constitution and we must come up with a way for judges to be accountable to the people. Lifetime appointments are the problem. The solution is a tuff one but we must address this somehow.
Sounds good in theory but have we seen this actually happen? How many lower court nation wide injunctions have we seen that support the Presidents policies? As others have said and I agree, what the President is doing is a good thing but it's not going to get the results we hope for.
Sane, normal, judges are nice for a change.
I thank God President Trump doesn't agree.
So that would make it 12 Conservatives to 13 Leftists on the court, unless some of the new six replaces Conservatives already there.
The article may have addressed that.
Old but very good news. Keep ramming through more and more Strict Constructionist judges especially at the Circuit level. Obama our 55 on the Circuit Courts. Trump has so far put 40 on the Circuit Courts with 6 more vacancies to fill. Its a lot of progress and really helps but its still not even enough to fully counter all the damage Obama did. It is VITAL that Trump be re-elected in 2020.
Dont be so glum. A huge number of the cases are decided by three judge panels. A majority would be better in case of en banc decisions, but this increase in numbers is yuge
From the article:
Currently the court is comprised of 16 judges appointed by Democratic presidents and 11 judges appointed by Republican presidents,
Trump has gotten these numbers when the Senate came to their senses and rejected this "Blue Slip" nonsense.
Thats still a. Dry good improvement.
“...Hillary clinton....... New York born and raised ...”
I thought she was born in Illinois?
“...Bobby Kennedy...... New York born and raised ....”
Wasn’t he born in Boston and only carpetbagged in New York?
Just like Hellary!
Carpet bagger?
Aren’t democrats bestowed with birthplaces when they run for office?
Why the bitching aabout a judicial appointment when birth place for the senate is what ever you want it to be?
Its like the “rotten borough” system in the UK.

GREAT.

You dont know that be doesnt.
That’s true, I don’t know if President Trump thinks the courts are a lost cause, he in fact may think that.
What I do know is that he is acting as though he doesn’t think they’re a lost cause.
