Just the suggestion of former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore making another run at the U.S. Senate draws adverse reactions from some in the political class, and in recent days that has shown to be the case.
In 2017, Moore lost by nearly 22,000 votes, a margin of 1.7%, to now-Sen. Doug Jones (D-Mountain Brook) for a seat that is up once again in 2020.
During an interview with Huntsville radios WVNN, Moore said he had not yet made a decision on whether or not to run again but expects to during June.

I donated to him last time, but it’s time the good judge decides what’s best for the state, not what’s best for his ego.
Go away, Roy. Ya bother me.
If Alabama primary voters nominate him what does it say about the Alabama GOP?
Roy Moore, Scott Pruitt, Ryan Zinke, Steve King, and two of Trump's judicial nominations....
Trump watched each of them get flushed down the toilet.
Question....
Besides Sarah Huckabee Sanders, can anyone name even one consequential Conservative in the Trump Administration?
If yes - please emphasize the "consequential" part of my question.
Thanks.
Roy, you have had your chance and blew it in one of the most conservative states in the country. Stay retired from politics, go into radio or write a book to make some money, but don’t run because we really need that seat back to stop Schumer and keep control of the Senate.
I see you are a swamp creature.
“The GOP had nothing to do with his life history of being a creepy pedophile-lite.”
That’s correct. During the last Senate election I know of no one who would admit publicly they would be voting for him. There was the creep factor and he was an embarrassment. We can do better.
THAT is not possible! The Rats thought that they could pull a Moore on Kavanaugh but the Pubbies found their bells for once. They ran like rabbits when Moore was attacked. And it wasn’t the accusations of ‘pedophelia’ it was his real conservatism.
Roy Moore is not a Conservative. He is an ego maniac, plain and simple. I voted for him in the general because I won’t vote for a dem except locally. I will not vote for Moore under any circumstances again.
In the highly unlikely event he runs and wins, he'll be totally ostracized like Steve King. He will be completely ignored and get no cooperation from anyone, an outcome that will be made clear to him the moment he tosses his hat into the race.
Indeed. It is uncanny how Mitch and his cohorts went back years to prepare for this - get Moore to engage in purely vanity politics for years on end, get himself thrown off the Supreme Court twice for unethical conduct, and then get Moore to run a completely lackluster campaign including going to Pennsylvania for a football game the last weekend before the election instead of campaigning in the closing days.
Ill take him. He will raise hell. Need it.
I wouldn’t vote for a Rat if you paid me.
I didn’t vote for him then and I won’t next time.
I live in Alabama and there are many conservative Trump supporters that will tell you the same thing. You should hope he doesn’t somehow get the nomination again because the same filthy democrat may be elected again.
If you lived in Alabama and knew his history for 30+ years, you might would understand.
The swamp creatures come out on FR whenever Moore is talked about. Which makes me like Moore even More. They guy will raise hell on these GOPe losers!!!
“he’ll be totally ostracized like Steve King. He will be completely ignored and get no cooperation from anyone”
You mean like Trump? :-)
I will not vote for Moore under any circumstances again.

He sure showed his fire in the belly by going to a ball game out of state the closing weekend of the campaign.
His tenure in public service has been purely vanity politics - he has zero principles, just what gets him publicity to feed his ego.
Ill take him. He will raise hell. Need it.

I think the only thing worse than Roy losing would be him winning. The media would make Roy the voice of conservative and the republican party. Roy would do more to get democrats elected more than any democrat could. The media would have a mic to his mouth all the time and it would be a 24 hour circus.
No way I vote for the clown show.
