Its all in the maintenance and storage when owning firearms.
I have a Sig P226 that is almost 35 years old and is still rocking it out to 25 yards with tight groups.
I also have an FN49; Egyptian. Took a little work; it will head shot ya at 400 yards with iron sites with no problems.
My Henry 30-30 was given to me by my father in law who was dropping coyotes on his Pap’s farm when he was a youngin at 350+ yards. It’s become my favorite. My Father in Law is 72 to give you an indication of the rifles age.
Take care of anything and it will take care of you.
That’s pretty cool :)
It’s hard to find something to compare to guns as far as longevity goes.
Cars are out in the elements unless you can afford to keep a classic in a controlled environment.
Appliances are constantly used and wear down.
I would bet an instrument could last a long, long time if taken care of.
Hell, i took NO CARE of a 20 year old guitar I just pulled out of the garage and stringed it and it sounded good as new.
