Its hard to follow a stunt like setting a globe aflame and proclaiming the world is on [bleep]ing fire because of global warming, but Bill Nye The Science Guy managed in it a CNN podcast interview.
With less theater and showmanship than his heartfelt, expletive-laden performance on HBOs Last Week Tonight, Nye still made outrageous claims about natural disasters and global warming on Brian Stelters Reliable Sources podcast May 30.
Just days after Memorial Day, when veterans are remembered for giving their lives in battle, Nye nonchalantly claimed there is a Pearl Harbor moment on climate change every week but is only being recognized by his side: the science side.
The actual act of war at Pearl Harbor killed 2,403 people, and led to the U.S. declaration of war. Yet, he considered this an apt metaphor for natural disasters he claims are fueled by human-induced climate change.
We dont have Pearl Harbor, by analogy. We never had this catastr- people from the U.S. were fighting the war in Europe. They were flying missions since the late 1930s. Flying bombing runs. But it wasnt until Pearl Harbor where everybody really got serious about winning, Nye said. He failed to specify that Americans who fought the Axis ahead of Dec. 8, 1941, did so as voluntary and private citizens. War was not declared until after the Pearl Harbor attack.
He continued, But the trouble with climate change is it's happening in slow motion.
So there will never be a Pearl Harbor moment? Stelter asked.
Well, for us theres one every week. And so, for us on the science side, Nye insisted.

I am a retired Mechanical Engineer and consider this assclown an embarrassment to my chosen profession of 40 years.
Sorry mate, there will only be one Pearl Harbor moment.
What an idiot.
I had a colleague who served in the Navy During the ‘60’s in Hawaii. This guy had a hair-trigger temper, and he told me while he was at the Pearl Harbor Memorial, some Japanese tourists asked him where the USS Arizona was, he turned on them, gave them his best scowl, and said, “Right down there where you put it, you mother******s”!
Well, I guess you had to know him...
As are our betters at ASME publishing their propaganda every month for years on end.
The only good thing is sometimes they publish letters from us common folk repudiating them for the endless chicken-little articles.
Stupid bastard!!!
There’s a “9-11” in America every day as 3,000 babies as slaughtered.
And now you know, Bill
Somewhere, P.T. Barnum is laugbing.
Maybe he & AOC could have secks and stop talking......
Let this lunatic babble his nonsense far and wide. It only hurts his cause... Because he’s an idiot.
If you have to tell people what you are doing is science, then you probably are not doing it right. Science is self evident. You tell young people if they walk off a cliff, they will fall. Then after the first young idiot falls, everyone knows its science. All it takes is one person Bill, not a whole navy every week.
When he first came on the scene I used to call him “Bill Nay, The Science Gay.” I called that one right.
Yes, once upon a time, ASME actually served a useful purpose and published things worth reading. Unfortunately, the rest of the Professional Engineering societies have gone down the PC rathole as well.
Smart ass Bill Nye needs to study Pearl Harbor history. He is ignorant and condescending.
They could make a 51st state on the mountain of B.S. unloaded on this topic.
Nye applied four times for NASA’s astronaut training program, but was always rejected
Pearl Harbor indeed. Every time there is some weather of note the global warming idiots start in with their Tokyo Rose, “You’re all gunna die” BS.
Isn’t he the guy who had a kiddie show on romper room?
If I recall he’s the guy who couldn’t stack cards.
I think Bill Nye is tired of science and embraces an ideology that will not accept fact based reasoning. The ideology he embraces is one that is authoritarian which will crush anyone who opposes it; especially if it involves grant money. It is something that suits ego maniacs like Nye perfectly.
