McALLEN U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo, said Wednesday that he would not vote to impeach President Trump following building pressure on House Democrats to move forward with impeachment proceedings, especially after Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III spoke publicly for the first time following his two-year-long investigation of Russias interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The short answer is: Would I vote right now to impeach the president? No, Cuellar said at a luncheon at the DoubleTree hotel in McAllen during a legislative update panel alongside Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez and moderator Davis Rankin, the KURV radio host.
Cuellar added: Even if the House is able to pass an impeachment, everybody knows what the Senate is going to do. Why are you going to divide the country more than what its been? We got to bring civility back. Im a big believer in elections, and well see what happens in 2020.

What are they going to impeach him for? Being orange?
The RATS are certifiably insane, and I don’t think they have a CLUE how much wrath half of the country has for them.
If he’s a big believer in elections he’s dreaming
I want impeachment.
I want a Senate trial.
Only in a Senate trial will ALL the information about the Treason Hoax Investigation come out.
Building pressure to impeach over what?
We live with a press that will keep telling you the president should be impeached, without giving a single specific reason.
It’s because the incidents which “might be obstruction” are preposterous reasons like firing James Comey.
Cuellar is a blue dog Democrat, probably further to the right than many Republicans.
The first vote would be to begin impeachment proceedings. Apparently the Dems are going to skip the evidence gathering phase since Mueller took over two years looking and couldn’t find any and go strait to the vote to impeach. The Red Queen strategy.
Thanks for that information — I thought the last conservative Dem was Zell Miller. Cuellar must be a lonely guy.

+1
I want depositions.
Only by having President Trump's lawyers question Mueller and the corrupt Obama CIA / FBI / State Dept can we get the truth out.

Absolutely

1. He got elected.
2. He is doing what he promised to do.
3. Things he said. (I saw someone say this on a video. I guess you lose your 1st amendment rights when you become president or when your initials are DJT)
4. The ultimate high crime he committed is this: Apparently he tried to obstruct the investigation of a crime that he did not commit and in fact did not occur.
Bonus question for you: What would President Trump's motivation be to obstruct an investigation of a crime that did not occur?

I’ve got it. It would irritate the Democrats which, as everyone knows, is certainly an impeachable offense.
Do you mean The Queen of Hearts? She said, “Off with her head,” not the Red Queen.
1. ORANGE MAN BAD
Not only that but if they do impeach, democrats will be in for a huge embarrassment in the Senate. Not one single Senate Republican has stated they would vote yes, even Mitt Romney and Sue Collins have said they are no’s. Lisa Murkowski and Ben Sasse would be the only plausible yes at this point (Murkowski being liberal and Sasse being a NeverTrumper). The thing is that democrats will likely even lose several red state democrats like Joe Manchin, Doug Jones and Krysten Sinema (and perhaps even others). So it is highly unlikely that democrats could even get a “moral” victory by hitting 50 votes in the Senate, let alone the 67 to successfully remove President Trump
They will not have the numbers to go forward. Maybe the “on paper” numbers just about - but the really powerful numbers like 220 225 or so no way. That will make things worse for the rats.
:: No House Republican is more liberal than Cuellar. ::
You are correct yet Cuellar sees the demise of the Dhimmicrat party in impeachment. He is protecting his party, not the Constitution (oath).
