Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak Vetoes National Popular Vote Bill
Breitbart ^ | May 30, 2019 | Joshua Caplan

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) on Thursday vetoed a bill which would have pledged the state’s six electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote for President of the United States.

“Once effective, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact could diminish the role of smaller states like Nevada in national electoral contests and force Nevada’s electors to side with whoever wins the nationwide popular vote, rather than the candidate Nevadans choose,” a statement via Sisolak reads. “I recognize that many of my fellow Nevadans may disagree on this point and I appreciate the legislature’s thoughtful consideration of this important issue. As Nevada’s governor, I am obligated to make such decisions according to my own conscience. In cases like this, where Nevada’s interests could diverge from the interests of large states, I will always stand up for Nevada.”

It is all unconstitutional nonsense. I would love for Trump to win the election and Calif. give him their electoral votes!

Why don’t all of these people see that? The electoral college cannot be changed by the States!

Texas is going to stay Red for quite a while. It is the Blue State losing population and with it, electoral votes.

I agree, that the numbers are likely at least double, but my point was that the four states at the top of list were those same four giant states in the map.

So not only would the voters from those states decide the election, but indeed the election of our President could likely be decided by the millions of ILLEGAL aliens living in those states.

We already know for a fact that there were illegals on voting rolls of Texas in the last election, and that illegals were voting not only once but multiple times in California.

The rat House in Maine also voted it down.

I couldn’t believe the idiot on Laura Ingraham’s show last night talking about how wonderful this would be if it passed. They are all backed by big money and the Soros brothers.

“This guy understands it.”

They all understand it. Most don’t care about the consequences because it’s for the collective good. This guy seems to actually have some loyalty to his state.

The converse is Trump has huge popular vote win and state like California that went for another have their votes turned for Trump. PayBack.
But still know SCOTUS will fix this.

"It is the Blue State losing population and with it, electoral votes."

Not so. California's population is increasing. They are in no jeopardy of loosing their massive haul of EC votes. In fact, they may wind up with more in the coming years.

The citizenship question on the census might cut that down by a third or more.

Which is precisely why we must have the citizenship question back on the census.
