Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer David J. Garrow, an authority on Martin Luther King Jr., offered his explosive story on King to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and reportedly to other U.S. publications before it was published in Great Britain.
The AJC turned down Garrow’s offer.
The piece, which reveals new sexual allegations against the civil rights icon, was published in Standpoint, a United Kingdom-based cultural and political magazine.It was also offered to The Atlantic and The Washington Post, according to Standpoint.The AJC declined to run the piece because it was based on information that would in some cases be impossible to independently verify, said AJC editor Kevin Riley.
He said the AJC chose to report on Garrow’s article now that it has been published. AJC editors decided that the piece should be covered as a news story in King’s hometown, distilling it for an Atlanta audience, he said.

His message of non-violence, his dignified marches where well dressed men wore sandwich boards simply saying “I am a man”, his allusions to God all enrage the BLM/Antifa crowd.
They want to initiate violence against those who disagree with them.

Ergo, they want nothing to do with King.

The AJC like most American media would go to the ends of the earth to avoid printing any negative information on King Martin, the deity we worship at the alter of political correctness.

Most Great men have flaws like all the rest of us.
Plus who knows what is true and what is slander.
Look at how they treated President Trump.
Are we now expected to have our ‘great men’ of history also to have been ‘good men’ by our ‘modern’ standards?
I have no particular hate, or love, for MLK. What we have learned over the last two years though - is that the FBI, already since J. Edgar Hoover, has been given vast powers of surveillance, investigation and prosecution. They have, beyond a doubt, used and abused these powers for political purposes. Exhibit 1-A: James Comey and Andrew McCabe towards Donald Trump
They use questionable sources, deal in lies, and illegally pursue political opponents.
IN SUM - if "FBI documents" are the basis for accusing MLK, then it should be considered complete bullshit until other sources can be found to confirm.
Neither he nor his wife are here to refute this crap. To wait until now to publicize it is a gratuitous slap in the face to his family.
