She tried to slip one past border supporters
Last week, we reported on a dirty trick Nancy Pelosi was trying to pull on the American people.
At the last minute, with a week-long vacation looming and an empty House, she tried to push through a massive spending bill.
The money would go toward disaster-hit regions, but they cut out ALL funding for the border crisis.
A lone Texas Republican shocked Democrats by stopping their vote. They couldn't try again while on vacation, right?
Well, apparently Pelosi thought she could sneak it through after all the Republicans went home.
So she got it through this time, right? Wrong!
Nancy didn't see this Kentucky hero taking a stand.
From Fox News:
The House on Tuesday again failed to approve a $19.1 billion disaster aid bill after a single GOP congressman dissented just days after it was unexpectedly stalled by another Republican holdout.
Boom! Thank you, Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie, for putting the border first and preventing a rushed vote on this spending bill.
He should get a gold medal for staying behind to defend the border, don't you think?

He, like his ally Chip Roy, was outraged that the Democrats would try to force through a bill without most of the House in to vote, and without more border money.
Pelosi and her Democrats wanted to spend more of your money, but without addressing the real problems at our border.
She was counting on the empty House to push through her agenda. This is a woman that slandered the president before the press. A woman that went back on her word to back impeachment.
Now, she wants to pass a bill without the support or votes of the entire House.
Hard-hit regions should get help. Cities and homes destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes should receive help. On that, we agree.
But why are the Democrats refusing to show that kind of support to our borderwhich has been overrun for months with border jumpers?
Nancy thought she could throw around cash without anyone standing in her way. But Massie picked up the banner and refused to let her get away with her scheme.
For that, we should thank him.
PeLOUSY has done America SO Dammed much Damage, its hard to remember it all!
1. doctoring the certification paper claiming Obama was eliglble (!)
2. shoving Obamacare through without even letting our elected representatives read the damned bill (!)
3. all her lies and false innuendos about PDJT,
4. her blocking of our border protections and enabling millions of illegal invaders into USA (including many dangerous Moslem of terrorist age and Mexican drug gangsters!)
5. all her ‘impeachment’ bullsheit
6. plus, all her baby-murdering rackets (at OUR taxpayer expense, too)
PELOUSY needs to be RETIRED ASAP! She’s
Thank You!!!!
Rhetorical question, right?
I can’t wait to sing the “Ding Dong” song from The Wizard of Oz.
Nothing should ever pass on a “vote” only voice. I want these clowns on record.
This is an excellent post because the media arent reporting the reason Rep. Massie blocked the disaster relief bill. Republican lawmakers are among those demonizing Massie for delaying the intended disaster relief funds. FReepers and their representatives and senators need to know why Massie acted and why they should have joined him.
Evidently reported by FOX News, but not the rest.
ABC ESPN are Disney
NBC MSNBC are Comcast
CNN is ATT
Know the adversary.
The DNC has got to deliver or the cartels may stop sending them their blood-money,
Thank you, Cong. Massie.
“..Nothing should ever pass on a vote only voice...”
Any bill dealing with money needs to be carefully monitored, votes recorded by name, and publicized for all to see. If the rules don’t call for that, then the rules must be changed.
all they did was delay the inevitable ... when the House reconvenes the Dems will simply hold a straight-up yea or nay vote without the unanimous voice vote nonsense ...
Ther will always be someone just like her taking her place.
“Hard-hit regions should get help. Cities and homes destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes should receive help. On that, we agree.”
Depends on the type of help and where it comes from, then I might agree. The government should not be in the charity business - the money is not theirs to give willy-nilly (even though we stupidly have allowed if for eons). O.K. maybe eons is a bit hyperbolic, but really charity should be done not at the point of a knife or barrel of a gun. It’s not really charity when it’s forced, is it?
State, county, municipal help should be placed where it is needed to fix infrastructure that is maintained by them, same with the fed. These entities should endeavor to cut red tape for the citizenry where applicable as well.
At least there are a few GOP members who are not asleep or counting their $$$
Democrats going to have to go back to the 3:00 am voting gig.
What gets to me most is the name calling and the slander against Pres Trump. It’s not just Puglousy but so many many others. It’s public denigration of the highest office holder in the US. I just cant stand it
Rep. Massie is doing an excellent job for Ky4th (Northern Kentucky) and for the country. I only wish he were more vocal in support of POTUS and MAGA.
“Hard-hit regions should get help. Cities and homes destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes should receive help. On that, we agree.”
We do not agree.
Don’t re-build at-grade again and again in a flood plain.
Tornado bait houses get eaten up. You need, better designed buildings.
Price in the costs of destruction, because it’s gonna happen again, and again, and again . . . .
Evil bitch, that Pelosi.
