Federal Agencies Push Back On Claim They Sanctioned Private Border Wall Construction
Daily Caller ^ | 05/29/2019 | Andrew Kerr

The founder of the nonprofit group that built a half-mile border wall over Memorial Day weekend said the Trump administration sanctioned the project, but two federal agencies disputed his claim Wednesday.

Triple amputee and Air Force veteran Brian Kolfage said Wednesday that the Trump administration called the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) and authorized the construction on private property near El Paso, Texas. He also said that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) approved the venture.

However, a spokeswoman for the IBWC told The Daily Caller News Foundation it received no such call from the Trump administration regarding We Build The Wall, which is funded by the viral $20 million GoFundMe fundraising campaign Kolfage launched in December.

Th IBWC, another group of worthless pr!cks that should be gotten rid of! Trump should set up a “commission” to get rid of all the useless boards and commissions that have proliferated over time. And once his commission has finished it’s work, it too should be disbanded.

Mulvaney started to do that but Trump needed someone loyal and sane to be his chief of staff and I’m sure that’s keeping him pretty busy.

My first thought was the organization was filled with Obama appointees.

At this point hat difference does it make...?

...the wall is built...something like 4 miles in a few days

What I like is the use of six big bucket loaders do do 6 sections at a time...holding the wall steady while the cement dries

In any case

@BrianKolfage 2h2 hours ago More WINNING!! @WeBuildtheWall was given the green light yesterday afternoon by the city of Sunland Park to resume construction, and our permits were re-issued.

From the start We Build The Wall, Inc complied with all regulations as required by law as we stated.

Correction ...the wall is built...something like 4 miles in a few days

Purple Heart triple-amputee vet Brian Kolfage underwent an invasive TSA pat-down at Tucson International Airport on the morning after the "We Build the Wall" town hall. A TSA agent groped and searched under Brian Kolfage's hips, buttocks, groin and his half arm searching for what exactly?

Maybe his Purple Heart medal set off the metal detector.

This regulatory SNAFU illustrates the regulatory mess of overlapping mandates and power hungry bureaucrats.

Everyone is in charge and no one is responsible.

Time to call the judge in Hawaii for a court order.

p.s. Did anyone notice that footpath running across the face of the hill on the Mexican side of the border?

President Teddy Roosevelt actually put into place an EASEMENT 60 feet wide the entire length of the border-—MANY years ago.

It is still there.

Solution for your wish:

1. Open up multiple GO FUND ME ACCOUNTS to build the wall, since Google stops at $20 million. ( They get a percentage-—why would they have any threshold?)

2. CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS who have construction experience.

3. Offer a large ‘BASE CAMP’ in multiple places where Travel trailers & RV’s can be parked. BRING their ATV’s.

4. Put up large military mess tents/halls.

5. Give FREE FOOD 24/7/365 to ALL VOLUNTEERS. USA pays for food, etc.

6. Have wives/girlfriends work in mess halls, etc.

7. Bring in large semi trailers (Tide has some) for free laundry/shower usage. USA pays for this.

8. Move base camps as necessary.

Cannot be done?

BULL- I rode a point to point horseback ride on the Pony Express Trail in 2001. Ride organizer had us in a different BASE CAMP for 5 days of each week, and for 2 days on weekends. 2000 miles-—50 miles of trail each day—5 days a week (250 miles) from St Joseph, MO to Virginia City, NV. Got to participate in a parade down C Street in Virginia City , riding one horse, and ponying another. 101 total riders with 289 total horses when it was all compiled. I had 3 horses.

IF a single person with 4 family helpers can organize such a ride, a good construction company can organize this.

There is a 60 foot wide EASEMENT the entire length of the border that President Teddy Roosevelt put into place years ago. USE IT.

>>> The Roosevelt Reservation is a 60-foot (18 m) strip of land on the United States side of the United States–Mexico Border under the jurisdiction of the United States Federal Government. It was established in a 1907 Presidential Proclamation (35 Stat. 2136) by Theodore Roosevelt in order to keep public lands in California, Arizona, and New Mexico “free from obstruction as a protection against the smuggling of goods between the United States and Mexico”.[1][2][3] Texas is not mentioned, due to the details of the Texas annexation, where Texas retained all public lands upon annexation and admittance as a state.[4][5]

The area along the southwest border is composed of federal, state, tribal, and private lands; federal and tribal lands make up 632 miles, or approximately 33 percent, of the nearly 2,000 total border miles. Private and state-owned lands constitute the remaining 67 percent of the border, most of which is located in Texas[6] <<<

TX seems to be a problem

Actually, the Roosevelt Reservation
easement runs along California,
Arizona, and New Mexico.
Texas retained all public lands upon annexation and admittance as a state.
