I understand the poor guy’s feelings wholeheartedly. The calls to prayer through loudspeakers every few hours including nigh time are very disturbing experience for every outsider who has to live in any Muslim country.
Although it is their circus and their monkeys.

Muslims start their Aazan (call to prayer) at 4 am. in countries where they are not the majority like Kenya, india etc they have these connected to loudspeakers, so if you are sleeping you suddenly get a loud crackling voice calling out in Arabic
