“The only excuse for that is if there are much weightier charges coming down the pike for him”

Maybe he cut a deal to testify against a bigger fish.

Not McCabe...he was Deputy Director, not Deputy Assistant Director.

Maybe Strzok, who was a Deputy Assistant Director.

People in high office who commit crimes should not be let off with light wrist slaps. Instead they should receive the most extreme punishment possible as a warning to others in high office not to commit crimes against the citizenry.

“Declined by WHOM?” He was referred to the US Attorney for DC, Jessie K. Liu.

Source?

***Prosecution of the DAD was declined.***

Because DoJ allowed Mueller to make this subversive statement with official standing, I am less convinced now that Barr, Horowitz, Huber, Durham, whoever will ever come up with true justice for a conspiratorial attempt to overthrow the legally Constituted government of the United States, the government chosen by election by the American people.

Please, God - prove me wrong!

“He was referred to the US Attorney for DC, Jessie K. Liu.

Source?”

From memory, but here is a link from April 2018: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/white-house/jessie-liu-the-us-attorney-who-could-prosecute-andrew-mccabe

“U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu landed a major case on Thursday (19 April, 2018) when the Justice Department’s internal watchdog reportedly sent her a criminal referral involving former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who stands accused of misleading federal investigators over his involvement in sensitive leaks to the media.”

The possibility exists that he might not be charged with the leaks or accepting the (trivial) gift, but might still be for the cover up (lying to investigators). I doubt it, but its possible.

Any photos of Coup members being hauled away in handcuffs? Y-A-W-N Another traitor who got away with it!

When Washington was fighting the Revolutionary War, there were traitors in his inner security circle that had a plot to eliminate. Just sayin'.....they hung the one who was found guilty.

“Not McCabe...he was Deputy Director, not Deputy Assistant Director.

Good point - its not McCabe.

Maybe someone cut a deal to avoid prosecution (or it just might not have been strong enough to convict).

I still say Barr is engaged in Modified, Limited Hangout because he believes if he were to acknowledge a former president repeatedly broke the law and if Barr were to publicly acknowledge what we all know it would be so destabilizing it would endanger the country itself. What he fails to understand is that in the absence of doing so he is actually bringing the country to it’s knees.

This looks like more Deep State denials that there were Deep State efforts to remove a sitting president from office by a coup d’état.

Ignore at will.

be-baw makes an important point above:

“Not McCabe...he was Deputy Director, not Deputy Assistant Director.

Maybe Strzok, who was a Deputy Assistant Director.”

I thought the OIG didn’t make filing decisions, just recommendations.

WHY??

The DOJ/OIG only investigates, they do not prosecute.

They've found evidence of misconduct so that's why they passed it on to the FBI...........

What the heck is this, this is NOT the IG report we have been waiting for I hope!!!...it appears that the IG report we've been waiting for is going to be delayed another six months or so - surprise, surprise - last week Joe DeGenova said on some show or another that because FBI director Christopher Wray - Mr. Smirk - has been dragging his feet on releasing documents the IG has requested, the report was going to be issued without looking at the docs - when William Barr took over as AG, Mr. Smirk suddenly became more cooperative and produced much of what the IG was looking for - so now the IG must go through the documents he should have had earlier to see what else is there - so we continue waiting......waiting............waiting..........

This seems to be the pertinent reference from page 430 of the OIG Report, which does not name individuals”

“although FBI policy strictly limits the employees who are authorized to speak to the media, we found that this policy appeared to be widely ignored during the period we reviewed (April/May and October 2016). We identified numerous FBI employees, at all levels of the organization and with no official reason to be in contact with the media, who were nevertheless in frequent contact with reporters. The large number of FBI employees who were in contact with journalists during this time period impacted our ability to identify the sources of leaks. For example, during the periods we reviewed, we identified dozens of FBI employees that had contact with members of the media. Attached to this report as Attachments G and H are link charts that reflects the volume of communications that we identified between FBI employees and media representatives in April/May and October 2016.”
