Just seen this on Fox. Mueller to give statement about his investigation.
He is kind of in a corner. It will be fun to watch him squirm.
Mueller is not answering any questions. He’s not squirming at all. Rather, he’s providing fodder for his allies to attack and undermine POTUS. That is all.
I believe they know each other inside and out and are both honest brokers.

Mueller is a former FBI director who was at the helm at a time when many shady activities occurred, not to mention the head of a highly partisan, one-sided investigation. If he is honest and has nothing to be ashamed of he should have no qualms about appearing before the congress that gave him $35 million dollars to spend on an open ended witch hunt. Instead he opted to make an appearance on his terms and then go right back into hiding.

The book nonsense leak from yesterday gives Mueller a chance to be “fair and balanced.” Seems like he was waiting for something like this to make a statement. This is all choreographed beltway theater. No coincidences here. Mueller’s main goal is preserving the integrity of the Mueller Dossier because it gives Never Trumpers cover to continue their attacks on POTUS.

He had better! Mueller worked for Barr, he must clear this through him or he is WAY out of line, like Comey.
Maybe Barr pressured Mueller to make the denial himself rather than just have a spokesman make it. However, I doubt this would be the sole reason to call a press event. Something bigger will be announced. Probably the justification for testifying in private.
FNC just reported Barr knows the substance of Mueller’s statement.
