Orthodox Pascha was late this year (April 28) meaning that we are still singing this beautiful Kontakion tomorrow.

The final line is very fitting for Memorial Day:

O Christ our God,
though Thou didst descend to the depths of the earth
Thou didst make Hades captive,
And rose an Immortal Conqueror.
Thou didst bring joy to the myrrh-bearing women,
And to Thy Apostles Thou hast given peace,
And to the fallen, didst bring Resurrection.
