A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction on Friday, partially blocking President Trump's plan to fund a border wall with Mexico using money from the Defense Department.
California U.S. District Court Judge Haywood Gilliam, who was appointed by former President Obama, issued the order, which does not fully halt construction but would limit additional border fencing to specific areas. It would also block the transfer of about $1 billion in Pentagon funds from various projects to pay for the construction of a wall.
Gillam argued "irreparable harm" would result if the administration were allowed to proceed while the case is pending.
"Because the Court has found that Plaintiffs are likely to show that Defendants actions exceeded their statutory authority, and that irreparable harm will result from those actions, a preliminary injunction must issue pending a resolution of the merits of the case," he said in court.

I think I want to be a federal judge. You get to pretty much control the whole country.
Funny, I dont remember any federal judges issuing injunctions to block anything Odungo did. Maybe I just didnt hear about it...
Blocked? Like standing there with armed folks? Probably not so, as the dems would do, ignore, proceed and repeat as needed.
Using defense department money to defend the USA is inappropriate?
And to whom will it cause “irreparable harm”? Certainly not the American people.
Sooner or later, this judicial dictatorship is going to be overturned. A district judge’s decision should be valid only within his district, not for the entire country.
I believe Barr has made some comments about this. I hope he gets a test case and follows it up vigorously.
Obama Judge orders the President and Defense Department to stop defending the United States ?
I think this is allowed because Roberts is really a anti-Trumper.

They were as ball-less as EVERY member of Congress was during the Fraud’s illegal reign.
Actually, someone here a couple weeks ago recalled a couple cases, but he ignored them, and everyone was too afraid of being called racist to challenge him.
This was a predictable ruling. And yes, judges arbitrarily rule the country.
At some point the USSC is going to be forced to decide if they will replace the presidency with judicial power, which of course would neuter the office and negate our votes.
I remember some cases that went against Obama. Theyd file an appeal to a higher court immediately and then continue doing whatever it was they were doing until the final court decision.
this judicial dictatorship

That’s exactly what it is. Time to put this insidious perversion of our government to an end.
it’s the new Monarchy
The only “irreparable harm” the wall is doing is to the globalist plan to destroy the national sovereignty of the United States.
These judges are traitors, along with many others.
The Executive could abolish the SCOTUS.
Just add 10 members to decide the fate of SCOTUS.
When does the public get access to these judges’ home addresses?
Justice Thomas has been wanting to address this issue for quite some time.
That would only happen to conservative judges.
It’s so very gratifying to see the quacks-in-black giving the Chief Executive what for.
Because you just know the framers of the Constitution were totally down with milliona of illegal aliens flooding through the border, setting up shop here and sucking up welfare. It’s right in the Federalist too, and in those Emanations & Penumbras.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which had asked the judge for the injunction in February on behalf of the Sierra Club and the Southern Border Communities Coalition, celebrated its legal victory Friday.
