Intelligence professionals warned Friday that President Donald Trumps decision to give his loyal attorney general carte blanche to disclose still-secret material from the Russia investigation will let William Barr cherry-pick intelligence to paint a misleading picture about what started the probe.
The president claims his campaign was spied upon, though Trump administration officials have said they have no specific evidence that anything illegal was done when the campaign came under FBI surveillance that was approved by a court.
On Thursday, Trump gave Barr full authority to publicly disclose information about the origins of the investigation the president has repeatedly dismissed as a hoax.
You have to get down to what happened because what happened is a tremendous blight on our country, Trump said, adding that Barr is highly respected and will be impartial in reviewing documents.
But Trumps critics are wary of leaving the decision of what intelligence to release and what should remain hidden in Barrs hands. Barr is a staunch Trump defender who Democrats say spun special counsel Robert Muellers report in Trumps favor, playing down aspects suggesting possible criminal conduct. Mueller has also complained to Barr about his handling of the release of the report.

If they were spying prior there is no defense --
Agreed, especially the unmask with abandon activity that was precedent to ID of PapaD and Page. Although FISA warrants do facilitate backward looking, I suspect the record of snooping will show that the snooping took place in real-time before the warrant, not backward looking after the warrant. IOW, the statute doesn't expect warrants granted after the fact to justify illegal fishing expeditions.

The AP now cites "critics" who are worried about making information public.
They didn't so much as make a peep when Obama/Holder tapped their phones.
Imagine if Trump advisors so much as stood too close to an AP hack calling in a fake news story.

Critics worry AG will reveal Russia probe info to help TrumpHow tortuous is that headline, AP. Their computer doofus at AP probably had a seizure after spending 20 minutes thinking up a way to muddy the real truth of it and then bend it into snarky crAP.

I suspect Trump already knows that the documentation in both the CIA and Clappers National Intelligence Agency documents their duplicity when they were running those agencies. Trump does talk to his CIA Director Coates and his National Intelligence head and probably has been fully apprised by them what Brennan and Clapper were up to. Now its just a matter of getting the narrative and supporting documentation out to the public through Barrs release and wait for this to blow up in the face of the Dems and their Obama administration running dogs who ran those agencies.

This is crazy. The democrats Illegal actions being revealed to the American people is unfair because it helps President Trump. They refuse to acknowledge had they not engaged in the subversion there would be nothing to reveal.

Did ALL of the intelligence professionals issue this warning unanimously, or did you perhaps cherry pick which ones you wanted to use as unnamed sources to paint a misleading picture for your anti-Trump hit piece?

Since as a prosecutor Mueller’s job STOPPED as soon as he refused to indict, but of course he didn’t stop there, there is no reason to complain about Barr.

O.M.G. ass. press in all their leftist glory twisting, dancing, parsing, and parrying. If the truth was on the shelf in front of them they would reach to the left for whatever is there.

He is probably directly responsible for the 2018 loss of several House seats by fraud and ballot harvesting.
I don't disagree with your assertion that sessons damaged more then just Trump. But don't underestimate the damage paul ryan and mitch mcconnel did in the 2018 elections. If not for Trump going out and working as hard as he did, we would have lost the senate as well. I fully believe that is what paul and mitch wanted. They do not want the truth to get out any more then the dems, hell they were part of the plot. Add to that, I am not convinced barr is there to do any more then a clean-up operation. There has yet to be even a single legal action taken against anyone outside of Trump's orbit. mccabe is a perfect example of the do nothing doj.

Good point on Ryan. Yertle has moved the judges at lightning speed, got a vote on Ocare repeal, got the tax cut passed.
He deserves some credit.
