“Conversion therapy” isn’t about therapy in any traditional sense of the word. This is how it sneaks under the radar. It is a total usurpation of parental rights. Really, as a parent of a three-year-old, it is not your job to make life-changing decisions? Would you let your three-year-old pick out a mortgage plan for you? Of course not. This is why the left wins: even ‘conservative’ writers cannot get the semantics right. People are not ‘assigned’ gender at birth. If they were, then it is entirely possible that the presiding physician could have ‘made a mistake’.
As is it, genders are not ‘assigned’: they are merely ‘reported’ as descriptive of the fact that they child is either a boy or a girl. There is no room for judgement ... just report the facts.
Since there is no sex change, this is all insanity.

Humans are a herd animal with respect to wanting to fit in with the group holding majority social beliefs. We have seen that when the media promotes certain minority held beliefs and makes it look like it is a majority opinion, there are rapid swings in public opinion. Homosexuality and gay marriage are two examples. That same strategy is being used with transgenderism.
