Bernie Sanders: Congress Has ‘No Choice’ on Impeachment if Trump Ignores Subpoenas

White House contender Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Thursday that Congress will have “no choice” but to begin impeachment proceedings if President Donald Trump continues to fight subpoenas issued by House Democrats.

“It is obvious that the President is a pathological liar who does not understand the Constitution,” the self-avowed Democratic-socialist wrote on Twitter. “The fact is that if Mr. Trump continues to disregard the right of Congress to subpoena, he will leave House Members with no choice but to begin an impeachment inquiry.”

Other White House hopefuls such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have leaned more heavily towards beginning impeachment proceedings against President Trump, saying after the Mueller report’s release that the special counsel, “put the next step in the hands of Congress.”

I doubt many of the newbies in the House fully understand what IMPEACHMENT is. I am beginning to think they believe if they impeach the President he is out of office.

If they do managed to vote articles of impeachment I think many are going to be surprised that the President is still in the White House.
