My theory is that the Union Schools are not as good teachers as parents. In a society that encourages two parents to work, learning is limited to six hours a day 155 days a year. It’s not enough. Add to that the widespread acceptance of drugs and the increasing participation of the cohorts with the lowest IQs, I’m not even a little surprised.
Not sure there is a reason to panic. One of the competitive advantages of the US is the fact that we meld a third world country into a first worlds country very nicely. That gives us inexpensive labor and great minds to lead them. We’ll be fine.
The article pretty much excluded the U.S. (thus far, at least), but given our universities containing a vast proportion of their student body having demonstrated that they are incapable of college-level work, our politicians (such as Occasional Cortex and our Middle East jokers, one should have at least admitted that politics and academic IQs are most definitely on the decline. (STEM - largely - excepted, of course. Except for climate researchers.)
There are also other possibilities, largely untested, such as global warming making food less nutritious or information-age devices sapping our ability to focus.
I would go with the first one. Yes people are doing less mentally demanding work these days and the last one young people spend way too much time on social media and mindless games on their phones.
The one that blows my mind is the untested theory that Global Warming is causing IQs to fall. How exactly could that theory be tested? For that matter how can the theory of Global Warming be tested at all?
The answer is; it can’t. Which is why the scam is perfect for the Libs to claim whatever they want as an effect of Global Warming. It can’t be disproved.
No matter how many times the predictions of doom and gloom of Global Warming fail to appear it does not prove the Global Warming theory wrong. How is that?
Well, maybe it does prove that IQs are falling.

Which countries? And, no, I have not clicked the link. I’m not surprised there is a brain-drain because of people coming to the US from some countries, leaving only the stupid behind. We see that phenomena in many of our rural towns. On the other hand, we do get too many ignorant illegal aliens who are no better than their fellow citizens that they left behind.
