Two teens arrested on murder charges last week in Maryland were supposed to be deported last year, but police in Prince Georges County refused to turn them over to ICE, the immigration agency said Tuesday.
The teens, Josue Rafael Fuentes-Ponce, 16, and Joel Ernesto Escobar, 17, both Salvadoran, are connected to the violent MS-13 gang, police say.
They stand accused, along with 14-year-old Cynthia Hernandez-Nucamendi, of killing another 14-year-old police say the teens feared would rat them out about another crime.
Both Josue and Joel were in custody in Prince Georges County last year on attempted murder charges from another crime, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
ICE said it placed a detainer on them, which means it asked the county to notify deportation officers when the teens were to be released, so ICE could pick them up for removal from the country.
The county defied the request, ICE says.

Why cant these officials, who endangered the public by protecting MS-13 criminals, not be arrested under the RICO statutes? That murderous gang is certainly organized crime.
This sanctuary crap for illegal aliens in liberal states, counties and cities is a real can of worms.
The leftist federal judges protect them and up to now what President Trump has tried to do has been stopped by them.
I don’t know what the answer is as long as the judiciary goes along with these traitors.
Start ignoring the judges and do their job

As a foreign organization, I’d say use the military.
it just gets better and better.
Lawlessness abounds.
It would be a shame if folks started to hunt down illegal aliens that commit crimes and are released among us.
I don’t know the legal side of this but why can’t ICE immediately take custody of an illegal alien once they have determined that they are illegal?
ICE could tell the state/county/city that they would need to get a court order to have the illegal transferred back to their custody if they want him for trial. Until then ICE will pursue deportation.
The local media will go ape sh@t crazy because there would be a possibility that the illegal would be deported before they can hold a trial.
That turns the whole system 180 degrees and will force the discussion to focus on non-compliance with ICE request to hold the illegal until ICE can get them.
Flee south.
Stop infesting the Pennsylvania border counties.
PG county. Upon seeing the title, I immediately thought that it would be Montgomery.
