...STRONG LATE SEASON SPRING STORM TO AFFECT COLORADO...
.A strong storm system will move across Colorado late tonight and Tuesday, and continue to affect the mountains through Tuesday night. Some show will also occur along the I-25 corridor from Denver north to Fort Collins. Lower elevations that see the heavier snow totals may see broken tree limbs and scattered power outages.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches expected, with the heaviest amounts above 7000 feet.
* WHERE...The Northern Front Range Foothills.
* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Tuesday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be hazardous with slushy and snow covered roads.
It has been snowing all day here at 8,500 ft elevation NW of Golden, CO.
The roads here are not too bad yet, but there was a pile up of 40 vehicles on East-bound I-70 just east of the Eisenhower Tunnel that closed the highway for much of the day..
ping for Colorado.
Global warming cometh ;-)
(just not quite yet.........but sometime within the next 12 years)
We are slated for 7-15 in tonight just south and east of Denver at about 6100 feet Im over it but it isnt that unusual
Winter storm? It’s autumn south of the equator and spring to the north. Is it really winter in CO?
We just had our first warm sunny day here in MA. This spring has been horrible.
Crunchy coating of heavy snow on my 5 inch grass, deep foot prints as I covered a few plants in my wet shoes! Heavy clumps of snow hitting the roof from a tree above the house. The Westie loves it. Runs like a puppy through it. We were here during a major June 10th snowstorm in the 70’s - that was a memorable one!
Damn Global Warming!!!
Yeah, I’ve got 8+ inches of global warming with more still falling...
“global heating”, according to the new style changes by the Warmers.
I could use some of that solar heating cycle to offset the cost of these fossil fuel bills. I still have the furnace on.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
4-5” in El Paso county. Heavy, wet, snow for past 6 hours or so.
I lost about half each of two 40’ plus trees in the yard. The heavy snow is snapping the branches right off.
I only have about an inch accumulation, so build up on trees is not bad. It is melting fast enough. We pulled flowers and seedlings in yesterday.
The runoff is going to be amazing this year.
Sounds like the California rains have made it to CO. It was pouring here in the Bay Area yesterday, but dried out this afternoon. Another storm coming in tonight and lasting all day tomorrow..
Colorado has a lot of snowflakes.
Get used to it. The Solar scientists say we are entering a solar minimum. They predict it will be close to the one that was called "the mini ice age".
