Great story! Need more stories like one when it comes to school shootings
“When confronted with the test the universe presented me with, I didn’t see any other choice but to act. Thank God, I passed. I’ve spent the last 24 hours being more appreciative of my family and realizing we have a serious problem.”

Duty. Honor. Country. These are your rally points when courage seems to fail you.
Kudos to Coach.
“When I signed up to be a Security Guard, Football and Track & Field Coach for Parkrose High School, I did so to guide and coach young people whose shoes I had once been in. I had no idea, that I would one day have to put my life on the line like I did yesterday for my students.”

Poorly written as to be expected from ESPN. Took till near the end to figure that WR meant wide receiver. I boycott ESPN on the TV as they are Marxist scum.
Teachers and coaches with concealed firearms would be the way to go. This guy was brave as hell but outgunned but also strong enough to make a difference. Thank God.
ESPN was not the only source I had when I decided to post this article. Unfortunately the first source I had on this story I am not able to quote. Lol. I was surprised it was not already on FR breaking news on Friday but I guess it did not fit the media narrative on school shootings and didn’t make the cut for breaking news. Kudos to ESPN for at least choosing to publish an article at all.
ESPN is a bunch of leftist scum who loves it when football players take a knee. Even when my favorite baseball team is playing only on their filthy channel I will only listen on local radio. I wouldnt watch even when my team was in a wildcard playoff.
Did he spike the psycho’s head like a football?
Ok, but shouldn’t we still give ESPN credit for running this story?
To your point I think those who get their news from ESPN would read “Former WR Lowe” as “Former Wide Receiver Lowe”
Those of us who get out headlines from FR may have to think for a second that WR means Wide Receiver because we instinctively as apply Political uses of acronyms for example everyone reading this comment will read “FR” as FreeRepublic and not need to get to the end of my comment to know that is what I meant
It is Not mentioned in the Article the technique he applied.
Regretably, I don’t speak meaningless anachronym
I’d be ok with it.
Which acronym is meaningless? Lol
Maybe I missed it, but did the article say Lowe was unarmed? Or could he possibly have been armed as a security guard? ESPN would probably want to hide that fact, if he was.
Lol
Im sure its posted elsewhere. Im certain if the coach had a gun they wouldnt have published it.
Great point. It was not mentioned in the ESPN article however the police report is public record and that would probably be mentioned only if the gun was used. Kinda like when a cop tackles a suspect and never draws his or her firearm it is assumed that the cop HAD a gun but opted not to use it. Lol.
Great question. I am sure there is a FReeper out there who can answer it.
I agree. Given the fact that Keanon was a Coach AND “Security Guard” there is a good chance he WAS armed but probably just acted instinctively with a “football style take down”. Lol.
