National Republicans are prepared to intervene in the Kansas Senate primary to ensure that conservative firebrand Kris Kobach does not win the partys nomination should he run, multiple sources told the Kansas City Star.
Kobach said this month that he is still actively considering a bid for the U.S. Senate next year in Kansas. The seat will come open with the retirement of Republican Sen. Pat Roberts, 83, who announced in January that he would not run for reelection.
Any anti-Kobach efforts by groups such as the National Republican Senatorial Committee or the Senate Leadership Fund likely would take the form of undermining Kobach without actively supporting any of the other GOP candidates running against him.

Neither was Trump
The Turtle and the Chamber of Commerce did this to Marlin Stutzman a few years back.
He wasn’t a “Team Player” while in the House, so they worked hard to smear him in the Primary
No thanks on being prudent. That tactic has America on the brink of ruin.
And where is the President telling the Republican officials to stay out of the race and let the people of Kansas decide?
Kobach made a huge mistake by running for governor as Brownback Term 3. The state was tired of Sam Brownback. I think that Kobach would make a fine senator who would be as conservative as anyone in the Senate. The only Republicans truly offended by Kobach are the type of country-club Republicans who I love to see offended. Kobach will be a hundred times better than whoever the Democrats put up.

Kobach had his chance and blew it. He is a very weak candidate.
‘Kavanaugh denied unequivocally the charges made against him, something that Roy Moore, when presented with an opportunity, was unable to do...Moore’s campaign died on the Sean Hannity show.’
Agree - but it was because Moore didn’t know how to lie. The place to adjudicate whether it was right or wrong to date young girls is not during a heated election campaign, it’s before or after. The Democrats knew that all they needed to do was instill doubt in 20 percent of Republican voters and once Moore said ‘even if I did, it was still legal’, it was over.
To put it another way, considering that we have the left and media stacked against us, sometimes we have to FLAT-OUT LIE to win, which, of course, the Dems do on a daily basis. We don’t have the luxury of ever getting the benefit of the doubt. Roy should have that all the stories are fake and are simply the Democrat playbook. Like Trump, he probably would have won, providing that the Dems couldn’t come up with any real evidence. After that, he could come clean, if he chose to.
We either play by DEMOCRAT RULES, or we lose, and this was a PERFECT EXAMPLE of what that means.
Yep, we should only vote for candidates approved by the Cheap Labor Express.
If the GOPe doesn’t like him then I guess he is ok.
Prudence is how the USA go to the brink of disaster.
Trump’s massive coat tails are going to sweep in Republicans in ‘20. Might as well get MAGA types to run!
