They DO have military men that KNOW that they are nothing compared to us.

Thanks DP you are also very much a patriot The answer to your question is very simple Iran is a proxie nation of Russia, they have a close tight knit economic, diplomatic and military relationship. Russia uses the Iranians in undermining our nation’s influence in the region at every turn with the promise of standing with the Iranians in their quest for greater Middle East governance in short DP this is all part of the Dual Cold War/Cold war 2.0 I am quite critical of John Bolton too but the Iranians are going to hit at us regardless if he’s with Trump or not.

WHY would Iran want to go to war with the US!???

1. They want to destroy the United States ability to prevent them from obtaining nuclear weapons.
2. They want to destroy Israel.
3. They want to defeat and dominate the Sunnis, especially Saudi Arabia.
4. They think that Americans are weak, afraid of casualties, and will do anything to avoid another war.
5. They are convinced the Democrats hate Donald Trump more than Iran.
6. They want an American President that will support their aspirations in the Middle East.

Asymmetric warfare: The Iranian mullahs believe Trump does not have the internal political capital to fight & win a bloody war, even if 99% of the blood that flows is theirs. A look at many threads here on FR, as strong a Trump bastion as can be found, would tend to confirm that. And who here has their kind of religious “conviction” (to use a “kind” word to describe it)?

The other “why” is that the mullah’s internal situation as it is now is also becoming untenable. A US attack that disables most of their military might also unify the populace: Is it a risk & trade up worth making?

You gotta try to think like them, not like a Westerner.
