You are very much badly misinterpreting about what Ike, said about the military industrial complex in his speech this wasn’t some goofy lame hairball conspiracy of the so called military industrial complex this was an outright attack on our nation’s Embassy by either the Iranians themselves or by Iranian proxies.
The dual alliance of Russia,China their proxies of Iran, and the Iranian proxies, North Korea, along with the socialist regimes of Cuba Venezula poses a huge threat too the peace and stability of the world we must fight them head on all fronts in order too properly safeguard liberty and freedom

I think you summed up the situation extremely well and you are correct in your assessment.
The key background question is why is our Green Zone (super fortified Embassy) there in the first place. Read my Comment #49 for some background on this. Since my son has been in Special Forces all this time and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, I have keep close track of these issues. Looks to me that we have been put in this vulnerable position by the Military Industrial Complex as personified by former VP Cheney.
