President Trump urged Republicans to stay "UNITED" on abortion in series of tweets late Saturday night and wrote that he is "strongly Pro-Life, with the three exceptions - Rape, Incest and protecting the Life of the mother." The tweets come just days after Alabama passed the country's most restrictive abortion law, which bans the procedure unless "abortion is necessary in order to prevent a serious health risk" to the woman.
Mr. Trump tweeted "we have come very far in the last two years" by appointing 105 federal judges, but "we must stick together and win ... for Life in 2020." "If we are foolish and do not stay UNITED as one, all of our hard fought gains for Life can, and will, rapidly disappear!" Mr. Trump wrote.
As most people know, and for those who would like to know, I am strongly Pro-Life, with the three exceptions - Rape, Incest and protecting the Life of the mother - the same position taken by Ronald Reagan.

I call America--a good nation, a moral people--to charitable but realistic consideration of the terrible cost of abortion on demand. To those who say this violates a woman's right to control of her own body: Can they deny that now medical evidence confirms the unborn child is a living human being entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Let us unite as a nation and protect the unborn with legislation that would stop all Federal funding for abortion and with a human life amendment making, of course, an exception where the unborn child threatens the life of the mother. Our Judeo-Christian tradition recognizes the right of taking a life in self-defense. But with that one exception, let us look to those others in our land who cry out for children to adopt. I pledge to you tonight I will work to remove barriers to adoption and extend full sharing in family life to millions of Americans so that children who need homes can be welcomed to families who want them and love them. VP Pence on abortion.
By enacting this legislation, we take an important step in protecting the unborn, while still providing an exception for the life of the mother. I sign this legislation with a prayer that God would continue to bless these precious children, mothers and families,” Pence said in a statement.

“...protecting the Life of the mother”
That phrase can mean anything to a liberal. A woman can claim she has a bad hang nail and will need to abort her baby else her liberal lifestyle will suffer.
There should be no exceptions after 6 weeks.
See if you can find a Diagnosis for which the treatment is abortion. Pro Tip: there aint one.
It’s a good start. Stop killing babies for YOUR convenience, Mom! Start understanding that PP is/was/will always be, FOR Black Genocide.
MAGA!
Too many biting that he “opposes” the Alabama law...his stance is the only one that has possible national ramifications for the foreseeable future...it would cut down on the wholesale slaughter of the innocent by a huge margin and be a great start towards sanity and sanctity of life.
Ectopic pregnancy, but that is usually diagnosed early on.
leave it to the states, and if you don’t like the states policy, then move, plenty of former new Yorkers, new jersians, and chicagoians have done that albeit not for abortion reasons but economic ones
Pre-eclampsia is a condition that is characterized by an elevated blood pressure and proteinuria and that usually happens after 20 weeks of gestation. Women with pre-eclampsia can also develop hemolysis, thrombocytopenia and elevated liver enzymes known as HELLP syndrome or microangiopathic hemolytic anemia. Due to wide-spread endothelial dysfunction, they might also develop brain edema and eclampsia. Laboratory investigations show thrombocytopenia, proteinuria > 30 mg/day, hemolysis and elevated liver enzymes. The only known curative treatment for pre-eclampsia is delivery of the fetus.
“leave it to the states, and if you dont like the states policy”
I was a teenager when Roe v Wade was decided. I thought it would lead to a national consensus on what it meant to be a person, endowed with human rights. Boy, was I naive. The best alternative may be to fall back on federalism, as you suggest.
Any national politician who admits to believing in “no exceptions” is finished.
We still have work for President Trump to do. Leave him alone about this.
President Reagan said a lot of things.
He gave social and religious conservatives a friendly ear at Justice to listen to their stories.
But saying that a boilerplate speech he gave was equal to enacting policy is wrong.
Rape and incest account for 1-2% of all abortions. While I believe that all human life should be protected no matter how conceived, we need to focus on the 93-95% that are done for convenience rather than argue about the rape exception. JMO.
As always its not what Trump says. It is what Trump does. He can say anything he wants. The judges he is a pointing are strongly pro life. It would be untenable for any politician to say that abortion under any circumstance was murder and the person getting the abortion, and performing the abortion, should be charged with a murder. You and I may sincerely believe that, however, that would be a losing position in the voting booth. Lose elections and you lose the courts. Let evil Democrats pick judges and abortions would become common and post birth abortions would eventually be a norm.
“Ectopic pregnancy, but that is usually diagnosed early on.”
Usually when the woman screams in pain and collapses to the floor in a heap at about month 2 or 3.
The treatment for ectopic pregnancy is saplingoopherectomy. Not abortion. Abortion is removing a pregnancy from the uterus.
The treatment for pre-eclampsia when conservative management has failed is C-Section, not abortion. Check with ACOG.
Tubal pregnancy.
Antiphospholipid syndrome.
Uterine cancer.
Sorry to say, there are serious medical conditions that can jeopardize the life of the mother if she carries the baby to term. Sometimes it is a horrible choice.
Tubal pregnancy isnt a viable pregnancy. Thrombotic states are treated medically. Uterine cancer or cervical cancer? Uterine sarcomas are very rare, uterine cervical cancer can be treated in the typical way in most cases and, again, after 24 weeks C-section. Every NICU in this country has 24 week babies. Even ACOG which is very liberal and pro abortion does not recommend abortion as treatment.
