Donald Trump is certainly bidding for more public support (which is what his stream of tweets is about, but maybe he should have concentrated on tweeting more about highly consequential things like this, and less about how bad the news media pans him).
I hope this is true but I will believe it when I see it.
No. They won’t self deport.
There are a lot of misperceptions about illegals. I spent my entire adult life in SoCal, surrounded.
Just because they’re sucking up public assistance does not mean they’re not working. The construction industry relies on illegals for day labor. The illegals hang out on designated corners and wait every morning.
Nowadays, they don’t have to worry about immigration authorities picking them up.
Authorities never could keep up with the sheer volume.
They get paid in cash and pay no taxes. You would be surprised at how much cash many illegals are walking around with. There are a *lot* of them working off the books while collecting benefits.
No illegal will *ever* self report. Though they may self deport when they’re fleeing prosecution for a serious felony.
People from Mexico, South, and Central America are terrified of government. And rightly so. They have been conditioned all of their lives to fear their governments. They don’t perceive the US government as any safer or more stable. Perhaps on an intellectual level they might; but, on a visceral level, no.
They also mistrust banks, for obvious reasons. Those who ultimately assimilate eventually get the hang of it. But, their mistrust of banks may weigh as heavily as their fears of the IRS. Probably more so. They don’t really fear exposure or really *get* the IRS. Their countries’ tax schemes are mercurial.
This demtard Bandini about “coming out of the shadows” is pathetic. Illegals do not live in the shadows and haven’t for decades.
I've been saying the same thing for years. In the end, it's the only way to get rid of the 40+ million who are here. It would also end the invasion.

Here in the Shenandoah valley I personally know some illegals that self-deported when Trump came into office and some since then. Their main reason for self-deporting was a belief that their work opportunities would dry up. Secondarily, a fear of ICE. However I don't believe it made a difference in the numbers, and we are being overwhelmed like everywhere else. But I have noticed the day labor ranks are filled with more Americans who are on and off drugs and can't hold a steady job.
Yeah. Wake me up when they start deporting these savages en mass.

The only way we will get rid of the illegal aliens is if we get rid of the Bush League Republicans who have been incentivizing them to come with promises of amnesty.

In the hundreds of postings here in Free Republic rarely is this brought up. It’s Known As Reciprocity. We should be treating anybody illegally crossing the Mexican border into the US the way the Mexican’s do;
Any American illegally .crossing into Mexico. Before being kicked out can get a heavy fine and possible imprisonment.
It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally exempting those who do so legally.
According to the Mexican constitution Americans legally in Mexico get a 2nd class treatment. Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote,and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. It’s time the US should consider making that reciprocal.
Prohibit and fully legally enforce punishment to violators offering any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges .In other words the incentives to those thinking of sneakimg into this country are removed and those that do better expect expulsion no job no voting no landowning ..
When the employer and employee speak a different language (than English), you can expect NO e-Verify.
