Let’s hope we’ve got some good non-RINO primary options!

“I do not know of a better solution to the issue.”
Investigate and indict some high profile fedgov officials who are suspected of aiding and abetting illegals and illegal entry.
A witch hunt similar to the Russia “investigation”, if you will.
You’ll see the whole problem disappear overnight.

If Pelosi is against it, no way it passes.
Did Trump push this legislation when GOP controlled the House? Did he try to armtwist Paul Ryan into adopting it? I dont think so. He let Ryan push Ryans agenda
Trump has been pretty good with rhetoric. Not so much with follow-through

Trump could have implemented Universal E-Verify by Executive Order on his first day as President.
Im disappointed in Trump. Hes been great in delivering for Paul Ryans agenda, but mainly talk for his own MAGA agenda

True. RINOs are extremely embedded in the system and hard to remove.

Trump had no leverage over Speaker Paul Ryan. You must learn basics of real world.

Not against this idea, but the amount of taxpayer-funded goodies (cash, food stamps, WIC, Medicaid, child care, and Section 8 housing) available to illegals is staggering. This doesn't even include free public education costs.
The 3rd worlders don't want this country, they just want our perks. We need to stop extending benefits intended for American citizenry to non-citizens before the flood of illegals will subside. Period.

Well never know, because he didnt try to pressure Ryan on immigration and the wall. He let Ryan push Ryans agenda instead.

Ryan won his district by a far larger margin than Trump did. The same is true for every Republican member of both houses of Congress who won in 2016.
Trump has zero leverage over Congress. Thats why he began treating Nancy Pelosi as the Speaker of the House before Ryan left office. Politically, its just easier to blame Democrats for failing to support an agenda that couldnt get passed in a Republican-controlled Congress, either.

Businesses are already required to collect taxes on their employees. They are required to only hire legal residents. Persons without a work permit cant be hired today. You also cant hire an eight-year old.
I dont see how E-Verify is a step they werent already supposed to do, in some form.
Could you explain to us your concerns?

Isnt E verify already the law?
In this era, the notion that any employer is unknowingly hiring illegals is preposterous and an insult to our collective intelligence.

This does nothing about H1B visas, which is ridiculous. Nobody elected Trump on keeping immigration levels the same, he was elected to STOP it.
If Trump kept all of his pledges, we’d see wage growth skyrocket. He needs to be held accountable and he can’t be allowed to backslide on this “we need LEGAL immigrants to do the jobs” Chamber of Commerce garbage.

So pass the cost onto business and what...hope for the best? How much does it cost for an employer to run a name through E-verify?

Trump could have implemented Universal E-Verify by Executive Order on his first day as President. No, he couldnt. The president could order that only for all federal employees. He has no authority over you or me or your employer for that.
You dont read the Constitution much, do you?
