On Tuesday night Joe diGenova joined Laura Ingraham on the Ingraham Angle to discuss the latest development in the spygate scandal that Bill Barr appointed US Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion probe.
Joe-diGenova did not hold back. The former US Attorney for Washington DC told Laura and her audience that Comey and Brennan are in serious trouble and better be lawyered up.
Joe diGenova: This is very serious business. For the first time I believe some of these guys are going to prison… Let me tell you something, Horowitz has already concluded that the final three FISAs were completely illegal. He’s now on the brink of finding that the first FISA was completely illegal. Durham has already used a grand jury in Connecticut. They’ve already gotten documents. He’s already talked to the intel people.
Laura Ingraham: How long has this been going on?
Joe diGenova: Durham’s been working for a couple months. The bottom line is this. This is now – big time! This is where Brennan needs five lawyers. Comey needs five lawyers.

I have the same mind-set as you. That said, this seems to be different and more intense. For the last 8 years we had the very top (president and 2 AGs) throwing sand in the gears of Justice. Voter suppression in Pa., Fast and Furious, IRS, VA, birth certificate, and Hillary email scandals all impeded and stopped in their tracks. Not this time, at least not from the POTUS or the AG, now.

Mark Meadows, R-N.C., hinted Monday the coming release of documents that will "show" U.S. ambassadors conspired with the FBI and the Justice Department to harm President Trump. “It's additional information that is coming out that will show not only was there no collusion, but there was a coordinated effort to take this president down,” Meadows told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “We talk about the 'Deep State.' There are players now, even ambassadors, that are sitting ambassadors that were involved in part of this with the FBI-DOJ.”
Meadows did not name any ambassadors.

Totally agreed except I guess in best case they a) want to come up with new charges to minimize controversy and/or b) want to publicly nail those who conspired, perhaps with her directly, to get her off the hook the first time.

The one critical difference this time is a US attorney with the ability to force testimony, under oath, and to prosecute. If I ask you to list the different felonies committed by the different felons in all this you’d be all morning doing so. With so many easy targets, all of whom are so dirty, someone, looking at real jail time, will break. After one flips there will be a cascade of finks ratting each other out. I don’t see many G. Gordon Liddys in this crew.

The FBI arrested Papadopoulos after his plane landed in Dulles. They expected to find $10,000 cash as prove of Russian ties. He apparently left the money in Greece with a lawyer. The lefts plan exploded in their face. I think he knew he was being set up.

That would be a good step in restoring confidence in our judicial system which has broken down when it comes to holding government officials accountable.
