James Clapper, in an interview with John Berman on CNN, was asked about the attorney general appointment of U.S. Attorney John Durham for the job to investigate how the “FBI Russia Investigation started”.
“There is a substantial investigation, which as I understand it, is nearing completion, being conducted by the Justice Department Inspector General,” Clapper said. “I’d wait for the outcome of that to determine if there needs to be more investigations.”

I am starting to think that we have been focused more on the patsies who became the face of this whole thing. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have any pity for them, but it seems more clear all the time that somebody pulled the strings by design on these guys who were predisposed to believe the worst about Trump and supported HRC.
Bongino has done a decent job of laying out the scheme where they fed the same stuff into our intel community by using various sources (ironically, mostly foreign) to push-pull their desired information, but the idea has not stuck in the MSM.
Clapper is playing the victim a lot recently and seems to be working on his “what was I supposed to do in the face of all this information?” card. If you listen to Comey (painful I know), he is also playing the same card. Brennan continues to arrogantly play the denial card, but I have not seen all of his recent appearances.
The fact that these guys keep appearing on television is fascinating to me. They continue to try and control the public narrative through the MSM, but they fail to understand that nobody is buying what now appears to be a rotten basket of vegetables. This is a weak house of cards built on lies and spin (not facts) and it will topple with the slightest push and they will not be pointing fingers at Trump anymore. They know it and that is why they are starting to raise their fingers towards one another.

Pawns or patsies, some will get prison time. No one of substance will see the inside of a prison.
When have the investigators been investigated? They haven’t. Yet, Trump and allies should apparently be constantly investigated.
You are probably right, but once the finger pointing starts remember that these people were/are incredibly arrogant. How else do we explain the text messages, emails, and handwritten notes seemingly creating a record of their intent? There is going to be a paper trail to include records of meetings.
The level above the current cast is Rice, Lynch, and Yates. Rice will not allow it to go above her, but the final narrative is not yet written so who knows? It is starting to look and sound like the DNI, DCI, and FBI were pawns on a larger chessboard even as they puffed up their chests and felt all-important.
