Saudi Arabia oil stations attacked by drones
Gulf News ^ | May 14th, 2019 | Unattributed

Dubai: Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al Falih said on Tuesday that two oil pumping stations for the East-West pipeline had been hit by explosive-laden drones, calling the attack "an act of terrorism" that targeted global oil supplies.

Falih condemned the attacks in a statment saying: "The latest acts of terrorism and sabotage in the Arabian Gulf... not only target the Kingdom but also the security of oil supplies to the world and the global economy."

"These attacks prove again that it is important for us to face terrorist entities, including the Houthi militias in Yemen that are backed by Iran," he said.

Falih said Saudi oil output and exports for crude and refined products were continuing without disruption, but that the state oil giant Aramco had halted oil pumping in the pipeline while the damage was evaluated and the stations were repaired, according to a statement carried by the state news agency SPA.

The 1,200-kilometre pipeline carries crude from Saudi Arabia's main eastern oil fields to the Red Sea port city of Yanbu in the west.

Iran has been acting through their terrorist proxies with IMPUNITY for 40 years.

It's time they lose a military installation every single time something like this happens. Just pick one and completely eliminate it from the face of the earth.

Horrible. Just horrible.

This means my local gas prices will go up 50 cents/gallon today. Our dealers love this kind of news.

That does not, in any way, impede our ability, nor the desirability of dropping 400,000 lbs of ordnance daily on Iran.

That’s actually a pretty small sortie.

but enough of a sortie to create FUD in the oil and capital
markets and for insurers to take hard looks at shipping and infrastructure risks in the area.

Likely.

But how does that compare with the 700 US Military men lost in Iraq to Iranian proxies? To the Naval ships that have been hit by their proxies with motorboats and missiles?

How does that compare to a nuclear arsenal in the hands of the mullahs?

As with the Barbary Pirates, eventually you have to fight them.

The Houthi militias are just another of the list of Islamic terrorists (jihadists) that started in that region. If they are destroying the capacity of the country to maintain its livability, isn’t it their fault?

All we have to do to cut those people off that created and support this is to pump more oil in ANWAR. It’s there, and in the middle of nowhere so it won’t harm anyone. This would be good as it cuts off any determination that we need anything from the region to include dope. And our dependency would be erased. Then let’s see how they handle their own problems.

Yeah. I'm not buyin' the "hack" they supposedly used to bring it down.

After the pallets of money Obama delivered to them, it wouldn't surprise me if delivery of a cutting edge drone was a negotiated item.

Iran is upping it’s game, as multiple recent events in the region indicate; this just a latest one.

"its a tough world out there!"

Indeed it is. Which is precisely why we need to secure our house first before thinking about securing others at the expense of neglecting ours.

Trump’s already hitting them where it counts with the embargo. The far-reaching sanctions on Iranian financial firms could endanger the flow of humanitarian goods as foreign banks and outside suppliers abandon business ties with their partners in Iran. In recent months, some European banks have refused to process payments even from Iranian firms that are exempt from sanctions out of fear of U.S. penalties, according to people familiar with the transactions.

Trump is calling the shots and imposing what should have been done years ago to let people know you don’t defecate where you eat. You play nice, you get help. And this decision to act the way they do, threatening their neighbors, some our allies, and us, is theirs, not ours. All they have to do is break down their nuclear program since they can’t be trusted not to use it and call back and imprison the terrorist groups they support that have murdered thousands of people, and the sanctions will be dropped until you break them which you liars always do. But, hopefully they will take longer as it hurts to be sanctioned. And, also, hopefully the Iranian people will begin to understand they are paying a price for their leadership and make a change.

Amen

For starters, take out Bandar Shapur (aka Bandar Humane)

It’s only a few minutes from Saudi Air Space.

The UAE will fly cover and the Saudis do the precision bombing

The US Navy flies over the Gulf to block a counter attack

War by coalition rather than surrogates
