I’m glad he’s fighting this smear job. This case had nothing to do with fighting human trafficking and everything about burnishing the political career of some sheriff or DA once a rich guy ended up on tape. A defendant of normal means swept up in a sting like this wouldn’t be able to fight back, and precedent means a lot.
They should not be able to release it to the newspapers and websites that want to make money off of it either. It should remain sealed.

When this story first hit the media, I was watching a Miami local station. Within about fifteen seconds the kid reporting the incident threw in “Kraft is a good friend of Donald Trump....”
Cracked me up. So for this reason I am pleased to see Kraft prevail.
Kraft’s attorneys argued during a recent hearing aimed at throwing out the recordings that Florida law allowing audio wiretaps says they can only be used for serious felonies such as murder or kidnapping, not lesser offenses such as prostitution. They argued video, which is not specifically covered under Florida law, should have a higher threshold.

Initially, it was reported that this case involved human trafficking. That turned out to be false.
There was a lot here that was heavy handed. Most articles focus on the video. There is also the traffic stop. No probable cause. Kraft wasn’t driving. They just pulled the car over and ask Kraft for his ID.
