No, Cory Booker, toy guns are not more tightly regulated than real ones

When he called for requiring gun owners to pass a safety course and be licensed, U.S. Sen. Cory Booker also said that there was more government oversight of toy weapons than actual ones.

“In the U.S., we have more federal regulation over toy runs than real ones,” he tweeted.

Not so fast. While the Consumer Protection Safety Board regulates toy guns, other agencies oversee the safety of real weapons.

The Washington Post’s fact-checker called Booker’s claim “specious," noting that other agencies, most notably the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, have jurisdiction over firearms even as the CSPC does not.

“Firearms, at just about every level, are highly regulated in the United States,” the newspaper said. “Booker is calling for another level of regulation, but he can’t suggest toy guns are even more highly regulated.”

Booker campaign spokeswoman Sabrina Singh declined to comment.

Anybody who actually believes anything that “Spartacus” claims, qualifies as a DUNCE, 1st Class.

I’ll never understand why Cory didn’t get taken to task on his Sparticus garbage.

He’s from New Jersey where slingshots are illegal. He probably doesn’t know much about a lot of stuff.

Yes, moat people with common sense know this fact. However, Cory Booker and his DemonRat allies don’t care about that. All they care about is to remove all Firearms from the Law-Abiding American Citizen, so as to make us targets and victims of his dream of total government over us to destroy US and Our Constitutional Republic.

Was there ANY Federal regulation of toy guns in the 1950s? I sure don't remember thinking much about Federal regulation back then but it sure seemed like I had a lot of realistic choices as a kid.
