TMZ has up the CHarles Manson connection. Had no idea that her son and Candance Bergen may have been the target in the Tate Murder.
Very sad news. Memory eternal.
RIP
Over the weekend I watched the 1955 version of “The Man Who Knew Too Much” with Doris Day and Jimmy Stewart. In this movie, she made the song “Que Sera, Sera” a hit.
She wasn’t a great actress, but she was good, especially with a great director, directing. But she could sing and dance as well. My point is, she was from the era in Hollywood when you actually had to have talent to be in the movies.
RIP Doris.
My condolences to family and friends...
I fell in love at an early age, and never fully recovered.
Every girl I ever had emotions for, was always judged by that standard, which went WAY beyond a fresh, perky appearance and an air of innocence, which she carried all her life.
The true “American Virgin”.
Arrivederci,mi amor.
She was my first love. I may have been only 7 years old but I had good taste.

In the 1960’s people would stop my mom on the street and ask her if she was Doris Day. Two classy ladies.
She was hot at every age. At 17, at 50, she was really sexy in a very hot girl next door sort of way.

Did people here like her TV show (late 60s up to about mid 1970s)? As I mentioned in another post, I remember reruns of it as a kid but it seems to be one of those titles that doesn’t seem to crop up on the nostalgia channels (when so many of the silly others are being shown over and over).
My favorite! RIP sweet lady!
Vwry sad news. RIP.
I really loved her movies and I’m so sorry to hear this news.
A Bushel & a Peck--Doris Day (1951)
I really loved her music as well as her persona in the 50s-60s.
RIP Doris Day.
May God bless her soul.
Lena Horne died ten years ago, but for some reason it’s making the rounds on social media like it was yesterday.
