A recent Rasmussen Reports poll finds that 62% of Likely US Voters want the United States government to deport individuals who overstay their visas and most believe the United States is too lenient on these issues.
According to the poll, which took place on April 30-May 1, 2019 via telephone and online survey of 1,000 US Likely Voters, found that "just 21% disagree, while 17% are not sure" with the idea that vias overstayers should be deported.
The same poll also found that, "51% say the government is not aggressive enough in finding those who have overstayed their visas and sending them home." In a continuing trend showing the division between the two major parties on immigration issues, "84% of Republicans and 60% of voters not affiliated with either major political party think the federal government should find visa scofflaws and deport them. But just 43% of Democrats agree."
From this survey, "only 18% say the government is too aggressive, while just as many 19% believe the level of visa enforcement is about right. 11% are not sure."
A recent report found that visa overstays account for nearly two-thirds of illegal immigration in the United States can be accounted for due to visa overstays.
via NPR (January 2019):
The report released Wednesday by the Center for Migration Studies of New York finds that from 2016-2017, people who overstayed their visas accounted for 62 percent of the newly undocumented, while 38 percent had crossed a border illegally.
"It is clear from our research that persons who overstay their visas add to the US undocumented population at a higher rate than border crossers. This is not a blip, but a trend which has become the norm," said Donald Kerwin, CMS' executive director, in a statement. "As these numbers indicate, construction of hundreds of more miles of border wall would not address the challenge of irregular migration into our country, far from it."
What’s more, we should deport the 38% who don’t, too. They’d all be happier in Eurostan anyway. Fantastic free health care there, I hear. And such a rich, diverse environment! They’d LOVE it.
Unfortunately, our “betters” will not let that happen. Darn uppity peons!
Omar and AOC would be a good start.
Stats like that have been around for years. If they truly mean it, they better vote for candidates committed to such policies in all open seats in the 2020 elections, federal, state, and local.
Probably their last chance to finally vote what they say they want for immigration policies.
Deport ALL illegal aliens.
If this is the case, it’s difficult to see how any Dim could win against Trump in 2020.
That’s just it, they will probably re-elect Flimsey Grahamnesty despite his support for EVERY amnesty attempt.
And every other Bush League Republican and Democrat who caused this mess.
Thanks Kaslin.
LOL
That was a funny and great post :)

Blacks are way over-represented in the civil service, white collar and skilled blue collar jobs, relative to their IQ’s, where they have, on average, a 20 point IQ disadvantage relative to whites. Whites average 100, whereas blacks average 80. These IQ test results are mirrored on civil service tests, SAT’s and college graduation rates. If blacks had to compete on merit/ability alone, civil service jobs would probably be 99% non-black. As would white collar and skilled blue-collar jobs.
I think it’s perfectly rational for blacks to vote for the Democratic party until the GOP embraces reparations and racial preferences for blacks. However, if the GOP did embrace those policies, a good chunk of whites who currently support the Republican party, primarily because of its (mostly pro forma) opposition to special bennies for blacks, would bolt to the Democratic party or just stay home on election day.
I’m surprised that it’s that low a figure. - I don’t know anyone in The Alamo City who doesn’t want the “visa overstayers” deported.

The Democrats don’t care. They are importing enough illegal immigrants to dilute that 62% into irrelevance. That’s their strategy.
Tricky, tricky. If your house is cold because your front door and back window are missing, that isn't an excuse to not replace the window. You need both.
Both visa overstays and border jumpers add to the number of illegals. The wall needs to be built along with a better system for tracking and deporting overstays (along with better medical exclusions for diseases and the 8.9 month pregnant women just dropping by for a visit).
Wanna drive that number to 95+%?
Offer a $500 reward for name, address and employer of every Visa over-stayer given to ICE which results in a deportation.
Talk about some new cars in driveways all over America!!
The VEDA PIERCE manipulative SOBs from the Hill don’t give a damn what the majority of Americans want! In other words screw the American people it’s all about lining their Congressional pockets from both sides!
And the GOP-e continues to ignore voters
Lol. US voters. No one cares what they want. No one!
Sounds fantastic.
Another idea: Get some emotional TV ads out that say here is how much money it costs you the taxpayer for the illegals who actually are subject to deportation. Here are the diseases known to be carried and spread by illegals.... These are the names and faces of gang members from the southern border who committed the following violent crimes including home invasion and rape....
Imagine MSNBC and the Dems having to champion the illegals in the ads.
