U.S.A. -(Ammoland.com)- The Iowa legislature has passed SF 188 (formerly SF 120) with nearly veto-proof margins, and sent it to Republican Governor Kim Reynolds for her signature.
The bill removes the power to prohibit the carry of stun guns from unelected university and college administrators. It restores the right to carry such arms on campus as in the rest of Iowa society. It is a small step toward maintaining the liberties of Iowa citizens, as stated on the great seal of Iowa.
Senate File 188
AN ACT
PROHIBITING A GOVERNING BOARD OF A PUBLIC COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY FROM ADOPTING OR ENFORCING ANY POLICY OR RULE THAT PROHIBITS A PERSON FROM CARRYING, TRANSPORTING, OR POSSESSING A DANGEROUS WEAPON PRODUCING A NONPROJECTILE HIGH-VOLTAGE PULSE DESIGNED TO IMMOBILIZE A PERSON IN THE BUILDINGS OR ON THE GROUNDS OF SUCH A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY.
While the bill is very specific, about non-projectile stun guns, it is emblematic of legislators regaining sovereignty over the unelected leftist bureaucrats who have taken control of the nation's universities and colleges.

That’s pretty good, but i would not want to test my stun gun against an armed assailant dressed for Iowa winters.
But it is a start though.
This bill restores the ability to legally carry one of these devices. Theyve always had the right to do so.
Best,

Glad to hear it!
Next, they have to allow lead dispensing devices on campus.
Didn’t use to be that way. When I was at Iowa in the 50’s, my shotgun was available to me any time I wanted it at the dorm front desk. I remember a visit to the Univ. Of New Mexico during my misspent college years where scoping sororities at night...through mounted scopes...was sort of a sport
I prefer my little 9MM stun gun—Though in winter it would more likely be the 1911 .45ACP or .357 mag.
Still, I guess it’s a start.
Still, I guess it’s a start. An important point is it makes it official policy to allow/encourage self defense by the person being attacked. Establish that point, and the Second Amendment pretty much follows.
In England, the theory of gun control is the government is supposed to protect you. You are not supposed to have to protect yourself.
I goes against hundreds of years of common law in England, but that is the theory that was pushed.
That works, too! :)
Now there is a proper use of a scope if I have ever heard one!
But oh boy, if anybody did that today, I’m guessing life in prison or something.
