TODAY, THE INTERCEPT launches A Message From the Future With Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a seven-minute film narrated by the congresswoman and illustrated by Molly Crabapple. Set a couple of decades from now, its a flat-out rejection of the idea that a dystopian future is a forgone conclusion. Instead, it offers a thought experiment: What if we decided not to drive off the climate cliff? What if we chose to radically change course and save both our habitat and ourselves?

Does it take place before or after the American Civil War II?
What if Congress was populated by intelligent people who weren’t always trying to destroy our country?
Actually I find this hilarious! The leftists are deluded to think that there would NOT be a civil war involved.
But not driving off the climate cliff is driving off the climate cliff.
Furthermore history is littered with climate cliffs - civilizations having to pack up and move to places where the rain falls and the floods don't flood except periodically when you need floods, like the Nile Basin.
Written by quill pen:
“it was really cold today and I have to write fast because I’m out of my candle allotment for the week. It’s hard to sleep when I am so hungry and don’t have any more climate-safe food coupons for the week”
I’m hopeful that we can migrate somewhere warmer. We’re so close to getting the solar panels and batteries to work 25% of the time, but my parents have been sick constantly and could use somewhere warmer to keep them safer.
There’s also been the problem of unemployment, but on the plus side the government is issuing work permits and food coupons in exchange for people digging the mass graves... which is taking care of the burial problem we had.
thank God we saved the earth in time!”
Maybe I’m just overly pessimistic and just basically misogynistic, but I just don’t see AOC learning basic thermodynamics, even if she’s got a couple of decades to do so. But if she can power the future on rainbows and unicorns, maybe she ought to try it out on a small scale first - Venezuela is an option: what have they got to lose?
What if the Soviets hadn’t spent the 1950s , 1960s and 1970s infiltrating our government, our education system and our media?
1917 called, want’s its future back.

It actually depends on how smart they are. If they introduce their fascist “reforms” slowly over time, people might grumble. But no one will do much.
It would be like the federal income tax. It’s oppressive. But it was ratcheted up slowly, over time. So no one got too upset.
Read School of Darkness by Bella Dodd, available online in PDF. The commies have been active over here long before the 50s. The Useful Idiots of the 40s and 50s were corrupted in the decades before by communist already in education.
What if we drive off the follow the idiots cliff?
“If they introduce their fascist reforms slowly over time, people might grumble. But no one will do much.”
This is why for whatever faults he might have we are so blessed that Donald Trump was elected president. Trump interrupted the Left’s “gradually boil the frog” process and forced these Communists to reveal what they are really up to.
If Hillary had been elected we would probably already be fully cooked, ready-to-serve frogs by now.
This is incredibly cringey....who the hell puts out a future biography where they are depicted as a venerated elder queen of the new eco America? Full blown child narcissist.
Notice how 99% of the figures in the film are “women of color” like She Guevera thinks she is. The few men in the film are either serving women or doing the backbreaking labor.
I think this video is worth watching because it’s not even trying to be intelligent or reasoned-the carefully presented plot line coupled with delightful child-centred cartoons are emotional vignettes designed to pulse the dopamine reward system of the liberal brain.
This dystopia is the ultimate mental health regime for millions of liberals.

Actually, if you read School of Darkness fairly early on you’ll find a similar approach. In this case Dodd recounts how a teacher abused her influence to get her to question her values.
Abiding emotions, sentimentality, is just how the Lef has long rolled.
Fantasy Island resembled a documentary more than this diatribe. Note that she starts by stating “when we won the presidency and took over the Senate in 2021...”, then goes through her claptrap about “sweeping new changes and legislation.” Finally, a woman takes here seat “in 2028.” Is it a coincidence that this would be the same year that would end the two terms a Dem president would serve if elected in 2020 and reelected in 2024? You tell me.
In the meantime, great fantasy. Too bad that bubble will burst in 2020, IF we can keep the “vote harvesters” out of our ballot counting.
