I agree with you, but your last point seems clearly different because it could only have come from Papadopoulos himself.

As for it only coming from Papadopoulos, not if she heard it from somebody who heard it from somebody else (and it was made up.)
That’s my concern. It just seems too good to be true, although I suppose the agency involved could argue that they were sure he was crooked and wanted to entrap him to be able to put the squeeze on him on the larger matter? Even given that, it will be a tough sell to the average voter.
