Bennet Dodges Responsibility for Provoking Student Walkout at Colorado Shooting Vigil

Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bennet is dodging responsibility for his role in provoking a student walkout at a vigil for victims of the STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting.

Bennet, who has represented Colorado in the Senate since 2009, responded to criticism that a vigil organized by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence on Wednesday was unduly politicized. The vigil drew national attention after a mass of students walked out in protest because numerous speakers, including Bennett, chose to argue in favor of gun-control while honoring the victims.

"Last night should have been about Kendrick Castillo and the STEM School students," a Bennet spokeswoman said on Thursday. "They are our focus and the event should have been set up to ensure their voices were fully heard."

Are you a Democrat? You sure are attempting to use projection as an argument. Whatever. I merely stated the difference between stated bravado and actual bravado. You were the one who asked if I even saw the video and I remarked I didn’t but seeing a video is not necessary to determine real bravado and stated bravado. I also said perhaps they do have real bravado, but I have heard that from people before and when the rubber meets the road they turned tail and ran. Thus I do not take bravado, or even walking out on speakers, as bravado. But I did also say they exhibited signs of intelligence by doing so. We see it differently I guess and that is fine, but I am not going to change your mind, nor you my mind. So time to just drop it and move along.

Bossy little thing, aren't ya.

but I have heard that from people before

"Heard"? Oh boy. I see a pattern here. Seems you're thin on adverse first hand experiences - nothing particularly wrong with that. There are experiences in this world best not endured. But making declarations about things you haven't witnessed is problematic. Doesn't make your judgments very endearing.

Perhaps you comprehension of heard is lacking. Heard does not always mean that you were totally removed from the source. In fact it was the source who thumped his chest about what he would do in a certain situation, and when actually in that situation he turned and ran. I didn't fault the person, but that was what I meant. Because in reality none of us know how we may react in a given situation. Few will live up to their statements of what they would do in situations, many will not.

Bossy? In what way? I just offered up a suggestion. Move along and let it go. We just disagree. You're not going to change me, and I am not trying to change you. I will not respond to any other communication on this topic from you. Because if you can't let it go, then I must.

Disagree about what - that you posted declarations and opinions outside of any personal expertise and that you got called out on it? That sort of disagreement?

you posted declarations and opinions outside of any personal expertise

Do not even pretend to act like you know anything about me or my experiences, because I know for a fact you don't.

Don't have to "know" you - your own words blatantly betray your lack of depth.

Just like a true liberal, take things out of context and present them as what was said. Now go do your thing, just as long as it no longer involves me. My patience with you is wearing thin.

Just like a true liberal,
Since you're now getting personal, am rather disappointed. You could have done better than that.

take things out of context and present them as what was said
And yet failed to specify what was out of "context".

My patience with you is wearing thin
Or?
Stamp your feet? Hold your breath until you turn blue? Call me more lame names?

You have been nothing but personal. Let it go.

One thing I do not understand is your insistence to carry on because my opinion disagrees with your opinion regarding those who said they were ready to do battle, but didn't. Which prompted me to state that talk is cheap, and many who do talk with a bravado attitude, lack bravado in reality.

Yet you are obsessed with hounding and badgering me about my rather innocuous statement.

I have on numerous occasions said lets agree that we disagree and move on.

But no that is not your style. You have to prove you are right and I am wrong.

Yes, I could do better than make an assessment that you act like a liberal, but from where I sit that is my assessment. You think that is personal? I'm glad you find it offensive that I say you act like a liberal, but perhaps it is you that needs to reexamine your position.

As for stomping my feet and holding my breath, that sounds more like a tactic you would chose to employ. Because like a liberal you also expose the many child like qualities you seem to possess. Prove me wrong, by just letting the whole issue go.

Prove that I'm "right"? About what, exactly? Why so defensive? Only asked questions you cannot seem to answer. Where did I find it offensive and protest about being called "a liberal"? I never specifically said anything about that - until now. Highly hilarious actually.
