Can anyone answer why conservative backers haven’t created more conservative-friendly social media? I know Gab & a few others are out there, but why aren’t there more options?

There is a fantastic article by Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook, calling for the breakup of Facebook. In that article he points out why there is little funding/support for alternatives.
The corporations that support Twitter & Facebook with advertising are equally as left-wing as these social platforms. They too are blackballing conservatives (Paypall & come credit cards for example), so they likely wouldn't support a conservative upstart. It all smacks of a RICO conspiracy to me.
Probably because twitter has achieved market power and potential competitors know it would be a money losing proposition.
The simple truth is that rich leftists are willing to lose money if it aids the revolution whereas those on the right usually insist on at least getting their money back if not profiting. For example, the infamous Salon has done a horrible job with its finances, has never been profitable its entire 25 years and has received numerous injections from rich leftists, but it’s still standing and spreading the message.
