I haven't read any of the details yet, but would bet that the transgender student was being badly harassed and bullied at the school. We all know how kids are, especially in situations even remotely like this one. ie, timid kids, “punk” kids, “sissy” kids, gay kids, etc. Certainly not trying to rationalize what they did in response, if in fact that was the case. But everyone has a limit to the amount of physical and/or psychological abuse they can take. If this doesn't apply here, it absolutely would in many other such instances.

Many schools encourage gender fluid and changing your gender as if it is a good and positive normal thing to do.

The psychological abuse began the second the tranny decided to become a “man”. Thank the doctors who helped perpetuate the mental illness instead of treat it. Kids will bully anyone who is different from them be it due to a haircut or wearing different clothes.
