Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell argued Tuesday that it's time to move on from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and report, declaring "case closed" as House Democrats continue to investigate and demand the full, unredacted report as well as urge that Mueller himself testify.

"This investigation went on for two years," the Kentucky Republican said on the Senate floor. "It's finally over."

Occasionally, McConnell does demonstrate that he has a spine. I think it must be removal and hangs in his closet most of the time. I just wish he start wearing it all the time, and I wish he would turn into Republican Pres. Trump’s right hand man, which is what the Republican senate majority leader should be. After all, Mr. Trump is has never asked for anything that is not in America’s best interests.

Sure, McConnell and a lot of so-called Republicans want to “move on”. They know that any real investigation into the origins of the Russia Hoax will uncover a lot of Republican involved in promoting and spreading the hoax. Most likely including McConnell and Ryan.

Unless he means “move on”, as in, “No use investigating the coup, itself, either”. I didn’t read the whole article, though. Maybe he was just referring to the case against Trump.

The Democrats are the ones who don’t want to let it go, they can’t accept that Trump did nothing wrong, they still want to keep searching, hoping they find something.

At the very least, the gang of eight was fully aware of what was going on. But I doubt that will ever be talked about in the open. I believe that barr is just using the same bait and switch tactics to delay as his predecessors. Trump being found not guilty is the best that we'll get, time to press forward with that.

"With an exhaustive investigation complete, would the country finally unify to confront the real challenges before us? Would we finally be able to move on from partisan paralysis and breathless conspiracy theorizing?" McConnell said. "Or would we remain consumed by unhinged partisanship, and keep dividing ourselves to the point that Putin and his agents need only stand on the sidelines and watch as their job is done for them?"

The turtle wants to hide the whole sorry mess and go on like nothing happened. He's gearing up to stab Americans in the back so the "nation can heal".

Exactly.
Graham was placed head of Judiciary to keep anyone from asking what the GOP-e knew about it and when.
McCain, Graham, Corker, Flake and Romney all knew about it.

I tend to disagree with closing this Mueller matter.
In fact, I would invite Mueller to testify in front
of the Senate Judicial Committee if I were McConnell.
What better way could there be to put the whole
investigation scam on trial starting with “Mr Mueller,
why did you stack your team with people known to be
anti Trump?”? It wouldn’t surprise me a damned bit
to learn that Mueller could actually agree with
McConnell. Muellers’ got some ‘esplaining to do
regarding various areas of this collusion delusion.
What new light could Mueller shed that would benefit
the Democrat cause? On the other hand the whole
investigation is rife with problems.

It is quite possible that if the Senate Judiciary
Committee gets first crack at Mueller then the
House Judiciary Committee won’t want to touch him.

[President Trump]

Thank you.

I always try to include “President” there - the media fruitcakes leave it out, intentionally. Especially in headlines.

Congressional hears are all showmanship without any teeth.

They can't impanel a grand jury.

They can't indict anyone.

But Bill Barr can, and the mugwump DemonRats know it. They are screaming at the wrong guy when he testifies before them. When he starts issuing subpoenas to Congressional staffers in his leaks investigation they will get even noisier.
