Deputy assistant director Jonathan Moffa’s testimony, which has been obtained exclusively by National Review, suggests there was more going on than has yet been admitted. The deputy assistant director at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Jonathan Moffa, was involved with the Russia–Trump investigation from the start. He was asked, in a closed-door Capitol Hill interview on August 24, 2018, to describe his role: “I was the section chief over counterintelligence analysis during the period of the election,” Moffa told lawmakers and staff. “And as a result, I had analysts who reported to me who supported the full range of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigations and counterespionage investigations during that period. So in a sense, if there’s a Russian-election-related investigation underway in the division at that point, personnel reporting to me are a part of it.”
Moffa’s congressional interview was private, and no transcript has been released. But National Review has obtained a copy. The interview transcript reveals that the FBI’s use of Confidential Human Sources and other counterintelligence assets was far more extensive than has previously been acknowledged.
Much of the questioning of Moffa was done by Robert Parmiter, the chief counsel for the Republican staff on the Crime and Terrorism Subcommittee. He asked Moffa about August 2016 text messages between Moffa and FBI agent Peter Strzok, who was putting together a meeting to discuss the initial organization of the investigation. Even at that early date, Strzok specified that they needed to discuss the use of “CHS” and “liaison.”
Parmiter asked about the acronym CHS: “What does that stand for?”
Moffa replied: “Confidential human source.”

We Freepers think we are all well aware of what’s been going for the last three years. It looks like the depth and breadth of the illegal spying by the Obama internal security apparatus since 2012 will leave even our chins on our keyboards.

We know of a few. Mifsud, Halper, Turk, the Russian who approached Caputo. The Aussie ambassador. The Russian who approached Trump Jr was Fusion, which was on contract to FBI, Russia, and DNC simultaneously. Steele also was contracted to FBI, Fusion, and Russia simultaneously. I suspect Carter Page was a witting “CHS”, though that’s just me. So now maybe there were more.
I heard Andy McCarthy on Hannity’s radio show today, saying he doesn’t think any of the FISA abusers will be prosecuted, but we have to find out what happened so it doesn’t happen again. Lucy, football, aurghhh.
Given the depths of democrat crimes, it’s gonna be extremely difficult for posters like you to fool regular conservatives.
At the top of the list for indictment are people like Brennan, Hillary, McCabe, Obama, Yates, etc.
You’re not going to be able to distract people from that.
In another life my job was controlled by Executive Order 12333.
We were required to review the laws governing our work every 6 months. This EO is worthy of review by Freepers, with special emphasis on sections 2 and 3. It was very clear we could at no time violate the Constitution and violation of EO 12333 would result in our immediate termination and possible prosecution. Those were different times.

Section 2.3(b):
“(b) Information constituting foreign intelligence or counterintelligence, including such information concerning corporations or other commercial organizations. Collection within the United States of foreign intelligence not otherwise obtainable shall be undertaken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or, when significant foreign intelligence is sought, by other authorized elements of the Intelligence Community, provided that no foreign intelligence collection by such elements may be undertaken for the purpose of acquiring information concerning the domestic activities of United States persons;”
Section 3.5(k):
“(k) United States person means a United States citizen, an alien known by the intelligence element concerned to be a permanent resident alien, an unincorporated association substantially composed of United States citizens or permanent resident aliens, or a corporation incorporated in the United States, except for a corporation directed and controlled by a foreign government or governments.”
Read the EO and justify spying on Donald Trump. It’s impossible.

Remember about 2 years ago Nunes and Pencil Neck went into a room to view some secret document, and they both came out of there absolutely stunned...now we’re learning what they’ve known for those 2 years.
Also, the reason nothing got done in the House came down to Paul Ryan - that simple. He protected the Deep State right up until handing power to Pelosi.
