He drove a big rig all of his adult life (64 yrs old when he died) without so much as a speeding ticket.
He made it through all 48 states several times without being in an accident.
He was killed on 2/2/18 in his own car, in an accident caused by an illegal alien within 1/4th of a mile of his home.
The cops said it was 100% her fault.
BUILD THE F***ING WALL.
That boy’s not going to drive commercially again.
A lot of the people coming through in these caravans from Mexico are Cubans. I don’t know if he was working for a US or a Mexican trucking company.
It appears that he wasn’t on drugs or alcohol, although I’m not sure about this. I’d look at pot, since Co has a legal recreational marijuana industry that is raking in the taxes and they want to protect it by minimizing statistics on its effects on things ranging from driving to education.
Somebody I know there with an in to the police department told me that in 100% of the fatal crashes in the Denver area since legalization, one driver or the other has the active ingredient of marijuana in their systems. They still haven’t developed a good field test for it, so this skates below the radar and is only mentioned in passing in articles a few days later, after the blood tests are back. But it’s also causing a lot of problems for employers, since it’s virtually a legally protected DUI nowadays because the state wants to keep getting tax money from it.
Who issued a CDL license to a chap who couldn’t identify an emergency ramp for semi trucks?
He has awesome defense. Brakes went out down hill.
I believe it.
There are so many jobs available out here but people cant go even a month without pot to pass the drug test.
did not realize it.
sorry
I read the company he worked for had numerous safety violations Including brakes. Many times I’ve smelt brakes burning.
And why did I know it was a messycan name before I read the article? Thank you jorge busho and company.
All of the officers of the company should be in jail.
Let's start with jorge busho. I hear he doesn't venture out much these days.
Pot tests, which look for a fat-soluble compound, may read positive long after the acute effects have worn off. I would look for other explanations in the wake of a claim that “all” fatal accidents find that someone involved has had pot.
How did he get a CDL if he doesnt understand English?
You would think the ability to read english would be a condition of the CDL.

He says he's innocent. Doesn't matter he was driving the rig at 85 mph. The brakes failed. In a few months he'll be able to add "Westinghouse" or "General Electric" to his hyphenated last name. He's already lawyering up for the big fleece.
The company that hired him will be out of business pretty quick. I’ve had my brakes start smoking out in the back country. Just got to pull over and enjoy the scenery for awhile.
That defense goes bye-bye when it is shown he blew past an available emergency lane without so much as trying to use it.

There was another article on “completecolorado.com”
This guy isn’t a Mexican, he’s a Cuban! Besides, it’s harder to drive a truck from Cuba to the US!
Where’s the records of the annual DOT inspection?
Drivers are supposed to conduct a daily pre-trip inspection as well as a periodic check at every stop (fuel, rest, etc).
The state in which the truck is registered is supposed to conduct random unannounced inspections on the company because of the previous safety issues.
Another thing, if the driver feels the truck is unsafe, the driver has the right to refuse to operate that truck until it is repaired or replaced.
