In the most fiery exchange so far during Attorney General William P. Barr’s Senate Judiciary testimony, Sen. Lindsey Graham interrupted questioning to accuse Sen. Mazie Hirono of “slandering” the Justice Department’s top official.
“You have slandered this man from top to to bottom,” Mr. Graham said. “You want more of this line of questioning, you are not going to get it.
The moment came while Ms. Hirono, Hawaii Democrat, was grilling Mr. Barr with questions about allegations that President Trump sought to thwart special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.
But she also called Mr. Barr a liar and accused him of trying to conceal Mr. Trump’s alleged misdeeds.
“Being attorney general of the Untied States is a sacred trust,” she said. “You have betrayed that trust. America deserves better. You should resign.”

It helps our side to have Barr pissed off at them. Let them continue their nastiness. Voters are watching too.

Just like The New York Times and The Washington Post their little Mueller hand grenade yesterday, before Barr's scheduled testimony today.
EVRYTHING is coordinated and premeditated.
I’m amazed how stupid they are. Everyone on this forum knows what Mueller’s letter to Barr was about, but these dumbass senators and the left wing media repeatedly mislead the public.
Problem is, they know that the majority of people out there are just as dumbass as they are.
It was a disgusting display. She should be kicked off of any committee she is a part of.
This is where Barr should have reminded her that Sessions found out later he was advised wrongly on recusal and Sessions offered to resign but President said no.
Barr missed this point big time.
DOJ has some sort of ethics committee that makes those kind of determinations. At the time Sessions went through the process most of the people who were on staff who make those decisions were Obama appointees.
Barr said he wasn’t going to recuse himself regardless of what that committee said because of the power he has that comes with the position and his own conscience.
Sessions made the wrong judgement.
And this is at minimum. Their bizarre behaviour also raises the question: What are they trying to hide?
Barr can’t know everything.
Hirono is not Hawaiian . She is a Japan born Japanese ‘naturalized ‘ U.S. immigrant .

I really question her intelligence. Let’s face it a majority of the people in congress are not the brightest bulbs.
Totally agree it should have been stopped! And why was Barr not allowed to respond either? Disgraceful! This was not a hearing to ask questions of Barr, rather it was a platform for Democrats to make speeches and further publicly smear Trump and Barr. I hate these people so much!

Sessions? OMG. Terrible. How did a special counsel ever get the approval? From whom?

One thing I didn’t hear when they were discussing Trump wanting Mueller to be removed from the investigation for conflicts of interest was why. One main thing is Mueller applying for a job with the Trump administration and not getting it. That right there was a disqualifier.
How about imprisonment in Gitmo?
