BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. - The Berkeley County Board of Education has filed a lawsuit against Amber Pack, the mother of Adri Pack.
Back in October, Amber Pack placed a recording device in Adri's hair after she noticed bruises when she came home from Berkeley Heights Elementary School. According to Ben Salango, Pack's attorney, the Board of Education is claiming the recording is illegal and should be excluded from evidence in the case.

Yes but there are exceptions when someone believes something illegal is going on or about to occur. Two party consent doesnt protect criminal activity. If you think its going to happen or is happening you can record for evidence.

Agreed. No way evidence like a recording of public school abuse is going to not be allowed. The BOE does not enjoy 4th protection. IMO.
So if there was a video recording of a teacher beating a student would in not be allowed? Or how about a shooting?

There is very little information here so don’t rush to judgement.
The audio “may be disturbing to some”. Working with a special needs child in not easy.
Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Catie Wilkes Delligatti along with investigators reviewed the eight hour audio recording, and said while they can’t prove that any abuse or neglect occurred that created a risk of death or bodily injury, she is “not in any way condoning the verbal treatment of your children by the individuals in their classroom.” She adds, West Virginia law states that verbal abuse of children is not a criminal act.
Most of what I hear was just talking to child to engage the child. but take the time to listen before deciding.

I will add that there is a possibility the abuse occurred at home and this is an effort to distract and get some money. Wait for the information before judging.

When I read replies like yours, I understand how Obama got elected.
Only....the mom has eight hours of the recorded school room abuse.
Maybe money doesn’t have ANYTHING to dow with this....maybe it’s actually just the safety and well being of her child, when she (Mom) entrusts her child to this public school district.
So, does backhanding a child engage them? Is that an appropriate avenue of engagement, for any child, in your opinion?

I went to Catholic school and never had a problem. I loved my elementary school.
I went to catholic school,the nuns carried rulers and beat the crap out of us regularly.And if you dont believe priests molest students then you havent seen the news.
