Members of the victorious Baylor University Lady Bears basketball team were in for a treat during their White House visit on Monday — a buffet of McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s and Burger King classics.
President Trump welcomed the star athletes to the Oval Office in celebration of their 2019 NCAA Division I Championship win, having defeated Notre Dame 82-81 earlier this month. The occasion marked the first women's basketball team – college or professional – to visit to the Trump White House.
As noted by USA Today, the official visit from the Texas collegians was something of a return to tradition. Neither of the previous two NCAA women’s basketball champion teams traveled to D.C., while neither of the WNBA victors received invites.

Good for Baylor. They played a great game, and showed class by visiting the White House (unlike the classless Virginia “men’s” team).
Yeah, they can try to paint Trump as cheap, but the college kids like that food and probably don’t get to eat that much. He is being a good host and knows his audience.

I was pulling for Texas Tech.
The first instance of serving fast food at the White House was due to the gov’t shutdown. To keep doing it seems cheap and an attention grab. I’m sure these kids would prefer a meal prepared by the White House kitchen to fast food they can get literally any other day of the year.
I’m still wondering if he has been asking these people for their preferences all along and nobody knows about it...

When the kids and nephews and nieces came down for the summer the wife was planning meals of chicken broccoli salad etc... and started fretting about it.
I went out shopping and bought beans and chicken dogs. Put the food out for the kids to cook and they fed themselves and swam in the pool. They got watermelon and veggies too, along with pizza etc... and swam and swam.
Was I being petty and condescending?
I thought kids get hungry and like quick meals... the groceries got ate and the pool along with the gaggle got a good workout too!
Some of their faces look seriously upset. I’m amazed the USSS allowed them to stand behind the president.
